She looks amazing! Everything looks almost perfect! Her eyes could use a little more work though. Nonetheless she looks lovely!

Yeah, eyes are always the difficult thing on figure kits. I've spent a great deal of time working and reworking these set of eyes. But they're as close to satisfaction as I could get...

    OMG it's you!
I've been meaning to contact you ever since AX! I went to you site recently and saw some of you progress pictures of velvet. If you could contact me at gordanham(at)gmail(dot)com. I wanted to talk to you about exactly how to get kits that aren't recasts. The only garage kit retailer's I know are hobbyfan and E2046. I've been wanting to start garage kits for a long time, and the only thing holding me back now is the recasts.

Oh thanks! Yeah, most of my kits are picked up through Y!J (Yahoo Japan) auctions right after the various figure events such as Wonfest, Hobbycomplex, TreasureFesta, etc. But any time, you can probably do a search on Y!J and find resin kits. Just be wary of recasters selling on Y!J as well. If you have specific questions, my email is on my site, so feel free to contact me. Also, I have monthly build gatherings at my house, so if you're in the LA area, come check it out, it is always newbie friendly and there are lots of builders that are willing to help newbies out with everything from pinning to painting.

I second what Gamera says. I get most of mine from there as well. A few telltale signs on Y!JA if they are a recast are 1) very low price. Most Garage kits cost around 8~10,000 yen at events so if the price is much lower, then beware and 2) if the seller doesn't post a pic of the actual kit box/bag. Most sellers of official kits will show a pic of the actual item as it is in the description box so you can make a more educated guess as to whether or not it's a recast.
