How long have you been collecting dolls?: 1 year
Why did you start collecting?: Introduced to them by Danny Choo.
Where do you adopt (buy) your dolls?: Lashinban in Ikebukuro and Yahoo Auctions Japan
How much money have you spent on your doll hobby?: about USD 3K
What sort of doll events do you attend?: None so far. Would love to go to a dolls party.
What are so special about dolls? I like the fact that there are high quality anime dolls available which hardcore fans of the characters can adopt. I also enjoy the hobby side of dollfies in the customization of the doll using various doll parts, wigs and outfits to transform the look of the doll.

First time taking a photo shoot with my dollfie dream Estel. Was rather nervous about going out in public to take the photos. One of my friends tagged along to help take some of the photos.
Took Estel to the Bell Tower which is a tourist symbol for Perth, Western Australia.

Estel inviting you to check out the bell tower.

Outside government house where they have some nice statues of giant kangaroos.

Are any other dollfie owners in Perth out there?

Lovely daugther u got there Tim, so jealous ^^
And I hope you'll find more ppl with dolls in Perth!
Thanks! I hope you manage to get a DD in the near future. :)
I also hope I find some other dollfie fans in Perth.
like her outfit ^^
Thanks! I bought it on Yahoo auctions. It is handmade and turned out to be a lot nicer than I expected.
Nice entry!
It always helps if you have someone else tag along to lend a hand. ^^
Yeah, my friend was really helpful. If it wasn't for him, I'd have so much trouble with the shots. It turned out most of the shots I took with my camera were blurred (focus was on the wrong setting), so I had to use a lot of his photos in the post. Luckily he is better at photo taking than me. :D
Looks like a great day out for photos :D And oh by the way your girl's Miko outfit, the white crossed threads on her red skirt(?) part are just temporary to hold the folds in place, (for during shipping) so you may wish to remove them ^^
Yes, it was a perfect day for taking the photos :)
Although it was a long weekend, and many of the varous spots I thought about taking photos of were quite packed.
Still, I managed to get some decent photos and it was a great experience.
Thanks for telling me about the crossed threads. I thought it was a bit odd that there was a white cross on the skirt. She can barely move her legs with them there. I will remove them now that I know they are only temporary. :)
Ah yes, I was reminded that crowded places is just not the best for photos, I would be anxious and my photos will be shakey or some other fail XD
And no worries :3 Sometimes I see people wearing their own clothes with the cross still attached (I may have done it once myself with a jacket XD!)
She is lovely! I like the kangaroos! Great photos!
Thanks! I walked past these when I was thinking of where to take some photos of something Aussie in the background.
nice photos!
Thanks!
Gorgeous. No need to feel ashamed about what others think. Whats important is that you do what you love.
Thanks for the advice Danny!
It was my first time doing a dollfie photoshoot and it went quite well. I'm very happy with the results. :D
great words ... but sometimes its hard to ignore the stupid vistas ^^"
Its Good to See the other side of Australia and their love for dolls too :) great photos
Whoohoo another Aussie!
Glad you liked the photoshoot!
Lovely looking daughter.

Thanks, the miko outfit is my favorite outfit for Estel.
Took a lot of walking around before my friend and I decided on the photo locations. :)

Thanks! I like the outfit a lot too!
nice shoot here! Estel just like guiding us to visit here :D
I agree. This shot was taken by my friend with his DSLR camera. He was scrambling all over the floor trying to get a good angle. It turned out to be worth the effort. :)
Nice shoot. Im a perth-ite aswell. I'm getting my two daughts in a couple of weeks :D
Nice to hear from you! Congrats! Which ones are you getting?
I bought a Dollfie Dream Yukino and a B&G doll Sapphira, which I still have to do the faceup for. When the money allows I would also like to do another custom DD.
