close combat (bandaiafa_diorama)

Posted by mac71 [www]

hi to all my name is Maurizio to italy (MAC)
this is my latest Gundam diorama: I used MG Zaku's char 2.0 and MG Gundam rx78/2 one year war ver.
I studied a system of internal pins to keep suspended Zaku. Difficult the MG is weighty.
I hope you enjoy my work.

    Wow, that is very impressive. How did you get the paint to be so smooth and blend so nicely? Airbrush?
    I've still got a ways to go to get this good. Keep up the good work.

    That's a fantastic diorama, very dramatic. How did you get the Zaku to stay in the air like that? Did you drill a screw to connect the shield and knee?

    That's a beautifully done diorama, really terrific. Lovely dynamic and realistic pose, and the weathering on the mobile suits is just perfect. Very impressive! ^^

      I still can't see how it floats. Connected to the shield? I like the Gelgoog on the ground. Nice effect.

    That is super awesome! I really love the detail in the dirt and destroyed gelgoog. The only weird thing is the continuity of it--I thought Char's zaku was broken when the gelgoogs came off the assembly line, but that's a meaningless gripe when you make it look this good! ^^;

    Looks sweet - adding the already defeated suit on the bottom was a nice touch.

    Splendid indeed! Looks more realistic than the actual anime. I always wanted an airbrush for the shadowing, but I was afraid of inhaling it and dying of toxic fumes (or killing my dog). I love how you put the poor model covered in dirt on the bottom. All you need now is the sparks from the clashing metal and battle damage marks.
