Slumber Party!!!! ^_^
Well, I *had* intended to make my next postings some introductions of my new daughters separately but last night after I got the girls changed into their pajamas, they decided to have a slumber party. So I had to see what they were up to and share with you guys! They all figured it would be best to just camp out in the guest bedroom for the night so they took over that room.
Sorry for the semi blurry pics in spots. It seems the light settings on my camera need adjusting and I couldn't get them quite right. Next time will be better, I promise!
Alright girls, yall are looking sleepy so how about we get the bed ready for you?
Manami - "Ok Papa, get the guest bedroom ready, we are sleeping in there tonight!"
Manami - "So how about we have a slumber party? We can play games and eat treats and stuff!"
Yoko - "Sounds good to me!"
Rei - As long as we get some snacks, I'm fine with it...
Rei is kicking back in her new T-shirt from Denden Town in Osaka. When I purchased Yoko, the guy behind the counter gave me this shirt as a kind of freebie. I wasn't about to turn down free clothes so now Rei uses it to sleep in. She also likes her new teddy bear.
After getting some things done, I check back on the girls and they are playing cards. I'm not sure if it's Old Maid or what....
Looks like Manami doesn't have such a great hand this time around.
These are cards I got from the Doll Market store in Greensboro a while back. I just hadn't had the chance to take any pics of them yet and since the girls were using them, now was a good time!
I wonder what cards Yoko has in her hand... She seems to like what she has.
"Papa! Go and bring us some snacks!"
Now Manami, that's not very nice to ask like that.... couldn't you be more polite in front of your new sisters?
"But they're hungry too right? Yoko, back me up!"
Yoko, Rei, are you hungry? Do you want any snacks?
Y - Sure Papa! I'll take two of whatever you have!
R - Yeah, that sounds good.
How about those little soot sprites? I found those in Harajuku at Kiddy World. They were just too cool to pass up. I also got the Kodama seen in earlier pictures there. His head rattles just like in the movie!
Ok girls, here are the snacks.
M - Oooh! I want that BIG one!
Y - Then I'll take this one....
R - I sure like how the big one looks, I like waffles!
Yoko, what did you get?
"I got this little creme puff! I am sure it will be yummy!"
"Papa, I want THAT one!"
Now now, don't be greedy Manami. Let Rei pick what she wants first.
"Aww! Alright then..."
I got these little desserts at a high school festival! They are made of marzipan and the modeling club at the high school made them and had them for sale. I couldn't believe the sizing on them was so close to Dollfie size. I bought every one they had there. The girls in the club seemed very happy that I bought all their stuff and that I was so interested in them. So, neat food items made by actual Japanese high school girls.... how cool is that?
"Well if I get to choose, then I'll be taking this one."
Alright Rei, if that's the one you want......
"Sigh.... I guess I'll take this little one then."
Oh come on Manami, you get plenty of sweets all the time. Try being generous for a change.
"Yeah but I really wanted that big one...."
After sweets, the girls needed some drinks so I brought them some to choose from. Rei decided on some milk.
This is actually an eraser! It came in a set along with some other drinks and foods. Very nice looking and they were pretty cheap too.
Yoko, what would you like to drink?
"I'll have some tea if you have any."
Yes we do, here you go.
"Thank you Papa."
Yet another eraser from that set. Pretty neat huh?
Hey Manami, what would y..... hey! What do you have there?
"I made a margarita! We didn't have a bigger glass tho so I had to make due with this one."
Seriously Manami? You plan to drink that thru a straw?
"Sure I do! That'll make it better! Bendy straws make everything better!"

M - "Yoko, lets do your hair!"
Y - "No, I think I am alright, thanks tho."
M - "Aww come on! Lets do your hair up different! I have a really cool wig you should try!"
R - "I am sooo staying out of this..."
M - Come on Yoko, it'll be fun!"
Y - "Um Papa? A little help here? Manami is being a bit pushy..."
Sorry Yoko, she gets like this sometimes. Just try it out, I am sure it will be fine.
Y - "Ahh no! Don't take a picture like this! I look terrible!"
M - "No you don't Yoko! It looks good on you! Tell her Rei!"
R - "She is right Yoko, I do think it suits you. Let Papa see you."
Yoko, they were right. You do look very nice with that wig. It really does look good on you!
Y - "Really? You aren't just saying that?"
Of course not dear. You look great!
M - "See? I told you! I know what Papa likes and I know what looks good too!"
Ok girls, it's getting late and yall should be getting ready for bed. Pick out a stuffed animal to sleep with.
R - "Teddy is mine."
Y - "I like the Kodama!"
M - "Well Usagi is mine so he stays with me."
Alright then, let me tuck yall in...
M - "No! You need to leave for a minute Papa! We have a surprise for you! We will call you back in a minute."
Oh boy, do I dare even ask?
"Surprise Papa! Nyan nyan, nyan nyan!"
Awww! You girls are just too cute!
Alright, lets get yall ready for bed. Give me the nekomimi and we'll get tucked in and settled...

Aww, you have a Yoko - I'm jealous! But that was an adorable post! I love the slumber party idea. They have some very yummy snacks too!

Yes, it seems that this is the original Rei Dollfie Dream. Volks has re-released her in DDII form so this version is getting harder to find. When I bought her, I had no idea, I just thought there was only one kind. And she definitely moves and handles differently from the other girls.

Awwwww! They are sooo kawaii, Billy! And those School festival miniatures are out of this world! And Yoko does not look as stained as you said she looked. I was expecting a lot worse... but she looks brand new!

Well, Yoko's stains are easy to see if she is wearing something more revealing than what she has on in these pics. I'll get you some closeups of the areas so you can see them better. But with a wig on and some normal clothes, you can't see any of the areas affected!

Thank you! I have seen that same wig on a Yoko before and I really liked it. So since I had the wig and now a Yoko, I figured I would try it on and see firsthand how it looks. I'm happy with it!

I thought for a moment "Hey, that's not quite like the slumber parties I had", before I reminded myself that my friends and I were all weird enough that we mutually decided to eat sushi and play DDR instead of go to our high school prom. . .
Still, the more I read the more the sleepover feeling felt right. I can certainly hear them giggling in my head! Yoko's reaction to Manami doing her hair was spot on even to some of the odd slumber parties I had, though in my case I recall there being beads, feathers, and sticks involved. Seeing them play cards seriously makes me want to make a 1/3 scale Munchkin deck though. ^^; Yeah, I don't know why my brain works like this.
Ha ha! While I never had any slumber parties that resembled this one, I do have a younger sister that had them and these are similar things to what they did. I just embellished a bit. ^_^
I wa slooking for a way to use the cards in photos and this was the easiest way. It was hard getting them to stay in the girls hands tho, they kept falling out....
Sounds like your sister was more normal than me or any of my friends. XD I remember this one time where we ended up watching the dubbed version of Fruits Basket, and one of my friends pointed out how much Yuki's dub voice sounds like it should be on a serial killer more than a shy high school boy, for instance.
I've heard using the white poster tack stuff is good for getting dolls to hold props, just like how it makes good eye putty. I haven't tried it yet, but I need to pick some up to replace the Volks eye putty anyway, so hopefully I can try it soon.
Heh, I wouldn't say my sister is normal but she did give it a good try to have some fun with her buddies. So far I have not needed anything to aid in holding items but these cards were just a bit lsippery and slid around alot. Maybe I'll look into that stuff for future shoots.

Thank you! I think they really did have fun there. And the first few nights, the girls did stay up quite late talking and going on and on about girly things. The chatter was drowned out by my fan tho so I just let them get to know each other and have some fun. They all seem to get along pretty well with each other now!
