On this week's issue, Disney gobbles up one of the most famous comic brand, MechWarrior facing a problem with Robotech peeps, an even more price cut on the PS3 slim, Guinness Record Breaker gamer and Phantasy reloaded.
This is Lelouch who is still looking for ways to acquire Ojou-sama Drossel and this is Digital Gaming News. Same news can be read in my blog.

The huge success of Sega's Phantasy Star Portable for the PSP paved way to it's sequel. The sequel is scheduled for release this coming December 3rd in Japan. The game will feature a brand new environment, plot, characters and the missing gameplay part of the previous title which is the internet ad hoc. In this internet ad hoc or rather "Infrastructure Mode", players will proced to a counter to party-up with other players of the game online. MechWarrior on Legal Matters
Harmony Gold, a media company in the US that holds the rights to the "ROBOTECH" franchise (Robotech is the counter part of Macross) is proceeding to file a legal action against the title MechWarrior. Harmony Gold demands that the company should put down the MechWarrior 5 Trailer. In 1996, the two companies already had settled their little problems on court and the winner of it was Harmony Gold leaving MechWarrior to fend for themselves on their original Mech Designs. Harmony Gold now claims that MechWarrior is once again trying to do the same act.

Disney Purchases Marvel Comics
Yes this is not a joke to anyone who is reading this. Apparently, Disney has purchase Marvel Comics for 4 Billion Dollars. More than 5,000 iconic comic book characters will soon be in the hands of Disney, raising serious questions about the future of Marvel video game titles from Activision, Sega, THQ, and the upcoming MMO from Gazillion Entertainment. Under the terms of the agreement, Disney will pay Marvel shareholders $30 per share for their Marvel stock, plus .745 of a share of Disney stock for each share they own. So Kingdom Hearts fans, don't be so puzzled when you see Spider-Man or Wolverine on any upcoming Kingdom Hearts title.

Gamer plans to shatter GTA IV Guinness Record
Currently, the game Grand Theft Auto IV is inside the guinness records under the record of playing the game 28 hours straight and is held by Jim Patton. But that was until recently for another guy steps up the ladder and is trying to claim the bounty on it. Apparently, Chiratan Patnaik plans to break by adding two more hours. You can view a stream of it by checking out his blog.
EDIT:
Watch out for the upcoming Game Reviews of Final Fantasy Dissidia and Soul Calibur Broken Destiny which will be done by me later today.

MechWarrior please hang on there!
...I'm still in shock over the Disney/Marvel deal. Can't say I was much of a Marvel fan, to tell the truth - I read some here and then, but on the whole American comics aren't my thing.
But hey, that's more than enough to realize that family-happy Disney and superhero-Marvel don't seem like a very logical combination. I won't say it screws Marvel over, but I'm definitely going to wait and see what comes out of this.
Once the sale is final, Disney plans to keep it as it is - A source of entertainment for the male demographic. They also say they are respecting all current contracts with other studios and are looking at other heroes to make movies on. They also said once the contracts are up, then they can focus more on franchise characters that were currently licensed.
And what might be a movie? Pixar wants to make an Ant-Man movie.
Seriously... Harmony Gold: go to hell
Seriously, what is Harmony Gold's problem? Just because mechs look similar, doesn't mean there is copyright infringement.
hate HG for these kinda antics just coz they got rights to robotech. but for them its business, if they see something which can affect them, they will take action
Lets see...
I do not blame Harmony Gold as the creator of BattleTech did steal designs from Robotech. And since Harmony Gold holds control of all North American licensing rights to both Super Dimension Fortress Macross and Robotech, they did the legal thing when it comes to protecting what they owned. And seeing how this is happening again in MechWarrior 5, the game either needs to have said mechs licensed or removed/replaced.
As for the acquisition of Marvel Comics, the sale is not final. Disney hopes it will be as they need to win back the male demographic, and Stan Lee hopes it happens as he thinks it is a perfect fit. And as I said above, nothing will change right away. But once all contracts are up for renewal, they will look into them all and make any changes as needed. Their Pixar division, however, hopes to make a Ant-Man movie. (I also think they will not include any Marvel characters in their upcoming Kingdom Heart games, as it seems that Disney movies are more of a focus in that game.)
That, and I am hoping to see more with Phantasy Star Portable 2. Then again, I am still hoping Sega will bring Yakuza 3 to North America.
God I can't stand Harmony gold. First they ruin macross then they ruin mechwarrior. Carl must be destroyed.....ahhhhh
