Introducing Run Around Kazu

Figure.fm: A community of extraordinary deviants. You are a deviants, because you have latched onto something different. You are extraordinary, because what you've latched onto, you live it, breathe it, and you are an awesome community of people. You are not afraid to be yourselves and show it. Everyday you post, comment, and fellowship with each other about things that are extraordinary. You, the Figure.fm member and reader, is someone of a higher understanding of entertainment and media. You are (most likely) an otaku, and otaku are an evolving, extraordinary class of deviants. With much respect and honor to you, I write this post.
It is with this post, that I would like to formally introduce myself to you, Figure.fm community.
They call me Kazu. Run Around Kazu to be exact. (short for Hikaru Kazushime)
Like you, I am also an otaku- or as I like to say- an extraordinary deviant with higher understanding and tastes for all things anime, manga, games, figures, and associated media. And also like most of you, I have the instinct of sharing my passions.
I share in the form of a website which I've named after myself: http://www.runaroundkazu.com
I began sharing my interests with folks at an early age- I'd even keep my class after school to listen to me ramble on about the next level in whatever video game I was into.
However, in present time I have found a way to vent that energy into something positive. My site: Run Around Kazu.
I have been running my website for almost 2 years, but only recently have I began to take it more seriously.
It began with my interests that eventually lead into Web Design, Affiliate Marketing, and the ever evolving world of Consumer Generated Media.
And so I have begun a project to reach out to otaku throughout the world, with a CGM based collaboration network of shared information- currently being called RUN AROUND:NETWORK.
As of this introduction to myself and my upcoming network, http://www.runaroundkazu.com <- the "home" or "main" page of the project is currently on a HIATUS until 10/10/10. The post here explains the hiatus.
However, after the hiatus is up, http://www.runaroundkazu.com will be a current, daily updated, and active website. "RAK" will be covering loads of news and goodies from the otaku-sphere, Japan, Conventions and more.
I invite you to visit Run Around Kazu in a couple days! I will begin the re-launch with an interview with a Voice Actor, Convention Coverage and Footage, and much more.
I live and work in Sacramento, California. I write about Japanese Sub-Cultures, and related events, news, merchandise, and even posts about my own life in Sacramento, which I sometimes refers to as "Sakurameno". Living in California, (one of the most highly active places outside of Japan to hold and support a plethora of events related to J-culture) has given me the chance to access numerous conventions, meet-ups, and enough otaku fandom to cover and share with the world.
Aside from running my site and all that it entails, I work as an SMS, (Social Media Specialist), one who specializes in working with social networking and media resources to optimize media and network potential for businesses and private sources. I'm also a freelance web-designer, I work mainly with HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (cascading style sheets) to create ideal, fresh, modern designs for webpages, blogs, and forums.
-Recently I have begun working with CGM (consumer generated media also known as user generated content) projects, to further share, promote and expand the networking and business potential of creative minds within the various forms and worlds of sub-culture genre.
