NYAF / NYCC Saturday
Well, I haven't posted here in such a long time... But I figured I might as well post some pictures I took while at NYAF. This years convention was nothing short of epic. There were so many people there! Probably one of the few times I've seen Javits so packed. It was hard to take pictures inside because of allot of pushing and shoving, so sorry if the quality isn't that good.

I loved artist alley. Got there before it got too crowded so I could take my time to look at the lovely artwork.

Lovely Haruhi cosplay!

K-ON!

Figures! I wanted to buy the BRS figma and nendoroid, but I wanted to look around for a bit first. Well, looking around took a few hours, and by the time I got back to this booth they were all gone T_T

I guess ubisoft is coming out with a Michael Jackson game. Might actually have to buy it ^^.

Spiderman and a rather cute cosplayer ^^;;

Lovely dress!

Phoenix Wright

Place looking rather crowded...

I know its hard to see because the picture is blurry, but these nendoroids were actually fake. Interesting too, because they put shiny stickers on them saying 'official' when they were obviously bootlegs.

Assorted art books.

Sushi pillows!

Cute K-ON! cosplay

Sandtroopers!

They were seriously over priced...even that loli haruhi that was recently released they're selling them for $45 lol ..the brs figures were even more i think. Ami Ami has them for way cheaper even after shipping it's cheaper.
I was thinking some of their prices were a bit high, so I guess its a good thing I held off ^^.
The prices weren't actually that bad per se, just nothing special. I'm sure the reason they were gone so fast was cause impulse over came reasoning. XD
I still don't believe they're were no booths that sells Dollfie accessories and clothes, I was looking all over for that and came up empty.
The place was packed! I could barely move in the dealer's room. @w@ But I had a great time~ Can't wait for NYCC 2011!
Me too! Yea despite being really crowded, I really had a great time~
That picture of the Hatsune Miku nendoroids. That vendor tried to sell me a bootleg hatsune miku figure. I asked him to show me the contents of the box, and he was complaining about how the line was long and that the inside of the box looks like the picture. Then he opened the box and it was a really bad piss green colored hatsune miku bootleg. I then walked away. Later, I saw a hatsune miku snow ed there, and thinking it couldn't possibly be a bootleg since I saw the inside, and it looked legit, I bought it. It was my first nendoroid. When I got home, I opened the box, and I seriously think its a bootleg because the paint is outside of the lines, and the limbs keep falling off.
TLDR, a booth there sold me a bootleg hatsune miku nendo (I think, it was my first nendo). If not, then nendos have bad quality. I'll need to order one online to compare.
Hmmm... You should post pictures of your snow miku, I'm sure the Figure.fm community can spot if it really is a bootleg or not.
Sorry to give you the bad news, but it's a fake. I brought my snow miku nendoroid over on saturday and compared it. Not to mention the price was actually too good to be true.
Damn. I should've reported that scumbag, but, I didn't know where since there were so many people. I wonder how they even got approved to sell.... Well, 25 bucks isn't terrible to get jipped. At least I didn't pay like 50 bucks. I'm still mad, but, she looks cute enough.... Big mistake on the host part, they really should pay more attention on who they let sell stuff. Well, at least I wasn't the only one. I got a legit Rei figure that day, so not all hope was lost.
I saw that booth with the fake figures you're talking about too. On Sunday there were only a few left so most of them were bought.
All the fake nendoroids were gone in that particular booth when I went there on Sunday. Either the vendor pulled them off or unfortunate people bought them all.
How disappointing..
Conventions are usually a safe place to buy figures for me.
But I guess that's changing now.
There was only one booth selling fakes.
Yea this was (I think) the only booth selling bootlegs. All the rest looked legit.
Yea, just me being dumb. I just really wanted a cute Hatsune Miku nendo for my first nendo. I should've bought a gundam kit instead!
Awesome. Cosplay always warms the heart.
those fake nendoroids are horrible ;[
but i have a feeling i kno the location of the store those came from = .=;;
thanks for the pics~ seems like a fun event!
Did anybody go to the VAMPS concert on Saturday?
Wait.. there was a VAMPS concert? How did I miss that!?
