MG Gundam Exia Complete
I was in a rush to complete this MG within my 1 week holiday. So the outcome wasn't satisfactory. I screwed up almost all of the decals and the stripe stickers!

mmm... why I only can post 1 photo when i create a new post, and I had to go back to "manage images" as to add in more photos? But anyway, here we go...

i sprayed the parts with semi gloss, except the repair mode parts and the ABS parts on the weapon.

masking tape? i'm running on a low budget. For the shoulder cables with i can't remove before coating, I masked them with cellophane tape.

Completed. With its full equipment. I still haven't buy the LR41s!

The most aggressive side of Gundam Exia - its Seven Swords!
Some feel of Final Fantasy 13 Versus huh.

I feel that the chromed parts on the GN blades seemed a bit unnecessary. but nonetheless they still looked cool.

Quite dissappointed that plenty of part swapping needed for the repair mode. I was expecting the entire repair mode head unit will be given but only the damaged parts are given and have to detach the normal mode ones to swap them.

Gundam Exia with its full equipment seven swords and shield attached.
Will continue the review next time.
More photos in my blog here.

I think it is already enough good.
is that your real name there? haha.
i'm quite unhappy with my work, too rush to be nice. can see the sticker is not adhered to the left shoulder armor completely at the first photo.
Hahaha Its amazing work, even if you did rush it!. Might have to steal the semi gloss spray idea myself :P
for me, it' always better to spray semi gloss for armor (PS part) and flat for frame (ABS part) :D
my mg exia doesnt compare to this. im amazed with your speed build. woulda took me some time to get it done
the hardest part would be the decal and sticker applying part. like i said, i ruined them. second hard part would be detaching unwanted parts to be coated. like, i need to disassemble the GN sword to remove the chromed parts and so on... the process was highly risky - may break the parts!
that's a good exia ^_^
I am really tempted to get one, but still wait for a while to see what bandai is going to release for OO MGs
that would take quite sometime, at least a moment after the release of PG 00 raiser.
at least within one year after PG 00 raiser..
seems that i would be investing my money for PG, at least for now. So i won't mind a MG 00 raiser to pair up my MG exia. HGUC unicorn series seem good too.
Is there a technique to putting the decals on? I can never seem to get them straight.
you have to cut it out, tape it on the surface as to secure it, and rub it. Danny wrote a gundam tutorial for busy people had mentioned about it. but having said so, i'm too lazy to do that. Taking shortcuts and ended up ruining them :(
My method is essentially the same as Danny's, the only thing is I use an out-of-ink ballpen to rub the decals...
oh great idea yunamon! small tip and yet rounded edge. I shall try that next time.
just one thing to say .... you screwed up a MG exia ignition mode ? gg gl gj.
screwed up the decals and stickers... at least not the parts. can reapply them if i buy water slide decals next time. no harm.
Makes me want to buy one of these babies ^_^
buy one? no. buy TWO. one for normal mode, one more for repair mode :D
just finish mine also.. will upload here soon.. i screw up the decal too.. worse than yours.. and got a lot of part loose.. especially hip joint for GN blade.. make me damn mad..
i just ignore the GN blade attachment points. totally useless. the ABS part connecting the white circular part is too loose to detach the GN blade from it. and it sags when the G blade is attached. now i put it in repair mode. bored of normal exia already ha.
Really nice!!!!!!
I like the Exia!!!!
Was also dubious about the shiny chrome, but that last picture completely justifies it. That shine looks sweet!
yes, it's a chrome plated bling bling sword. some people may not like it, but it's a +1 to coolness for me.
Are you in the photo? very cute!
First good job mounting
Second I think that in every case painting is more difficult but work result more real, better, I love airbrushing and if I make mistakes still I don't care. I alert you of using spray topcoat on plastic directly, paint it before than spray gloss or semigloss!
Please answer me, I am saviourgundam57 on flickr (plamo) and I will be glad to hear your opinion on my exia repair (is on figure FM on gundam category page 2), tell me if you are the girl in the photo too (for italian male is important).
Your Salvio
no, i'm not the girl in the photo! that's one of my favourite japanese singer, Ai Otsuka. Google her up.
I am here again, errata corrige: my exia is on page 3, see you soon!!!
Salvio
Hi doctor, seen ur Exia already at your page. Indeed airbrushing is good but it's still out of my budget, and i don't have the time for it now because... i'm a medical student. you know what i mean doctor, no time! haha.
