Gold Plated Joints on Perfect Grade Strike Freedom
Fri 2010/10/15 08:42 JST
Had a quick browse through amiami blog and found some close ups of the perfect grade strike freedom, and looks like it has the gold plated joints feature and like the full-burst version they only made certain exposed parts in that plated gold plastic. I hope I'm wrong, either way cant wait to get my hands on this kit! Added a few more detailed close-ups below from hlj.com.

who ever is buying this prepare for a scary price
i wonder which one is more expensive if it compared with 00 raiser
both of them were great PG
They are similar but Strike Freedom is marginally more expensive in terms of RRP. but when the online stores put their discounts on, it's about the same. And the PG 00 Raiser was a terrible PG!
still...it was PG and i wanted it....
>.<
perfect grades are that big?! those gold joints sure looks pretty^^ but gold's not my thing in mechas^^
It needs decals.
It's designed by Hajime Katoki. Be prepared for a sheetload of decals, which happen to be pictured here (double-entendre!): http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UVRoF5dMi7U/TLdDp5n4wDI/AAAAAAAATqk/sOxFIthGuv0/s1600/13.jpg
Similar to its MG counterpart, only exposed joints are gold plated... The inner frames are made from the dull gold mould pieces...^^;
I can imagine the nightmares that people will be having building the DRAGOON mechanisms.
You would think that they would have put in just a little more effort and plated the whole thing since it's a PG...
Tho I guess the Full Burst MG didn't look too bad but I'm worried that the DRAGOON parts aren't completely plated either. And they're always on show... I do NOT want to have to paint the entire damn frame just to make sure the puke colour doesn't show. I might as well paint the frame grey if they do that!
I love Strike Freedom, but I don't know... I think the armor kinda lack of detail, maybe?
indeed, where did the pg strike-style detail go?? and why the different type of gold?
Strike Freedom isn't really a design which you can change much without affecting the feel of it, unlike Strike Gundam. It's one of the reason why I wasn't very enthusiastic when it was first released.
In the old days, the PG detail was down to the inner frame mechanisms and detail, but those have made their way into the MG line, which kinda made the PG line rather redundant until they had new stuff to try out. They tried ideas on the PG 00 Raiser and it was a horrible PG. This PG is effectively a step back (or several)
And the different shades of gold is down to costs. pure and simple.
yeah, was just trying to express my rage on the golds. it was barely forgivable for mg, but pg?! i think i cant differentiate a mg or pg of SF if i stand a bit far away bases on the detail. pg strike was so awesome (imo) that its the 1st pg to make me want to try building one. never got it since wasn't earning my own money at that time.
i din't get a pg 00, mind telling me what flaws it has? i'm guessing the locking system
The flaws on the 00 Raiser are numerous. Firstly, yes the locking mechanism is really anal and very annoying. But there are also issues like the connection between the arm and body being kinda loose and cannot hold the GN sword III up at all. The kit, when fully equipped, is too back heavy and won't stand on its own. Even if you put it on the display base, the kit will permanently arch backwards due to the weight of the GN raiser. The parts which connect the GN drives to the GN raiser wings is also rather fragile. Proportions look really stupid unless you display the 2 separately and the kit has a relatively small number of parts and the frame doesn't have any details on it at all, which makes the 25,000 yen pricetag very hard to swallow!!!
My favourite PG kits are definitely the strike and red frame!
I see... so that's why I see this kind of a "big MG". There's not much change on the proportions too. The detail seems to be spent on the wings :p
I thought this was a perfect grade.
Looks more like a 1/60 Master Grade. Hell, It's even a little hard to tell the difference in looks...
Bandai, I am disappoint. As if gold plated joints weren't a bad idea already.
oh look!!!!! a 1/60 Master Grade...
That is all there is to it...
Obvious reusage of older Strike's frame...
like what the others said, it looks like a 1/60 master grade..o_o with just a few different inner frame exposures..the armors look really plain specially for a perfect grade..very disappointing bandai..
To be surprised the gold frame parts looks exactly how I customized my Strike Freedom, I look forward to picking this up as my first PG
nice
seems like everyone's pretty rant-y about PG SF.
not to mention its a 1/60 MG. better wait for reviews then
