1/100 Heavygun
Here's my modified Heavygun model that I worked on for a local competition called Fall IPMS Model Show 2010. I won last year's competition and got the Best of Show Junior with my Astraea. The judges were all armor junkies(tank nerds) so I only won 2nd place in the Sci-fi junior category(even though my model was vastly superior). I have never tried using a gloss topcoat so I used it for this build since I didn't do any weathering. The judges especially didn't like the fact that is was shiny. >= (

Comments and criticism appreciated.

The cylinder attached to the side of the rifle was originally it's barrel.

The large thruster bell was from an HGUC Zeong kit that a friend of mine gave me.

The beam saber was not a part of the kit and I had to make it myself from other kits. It needed a bit of drilling to get the saber tip to fit on the handle.

Nice work! I like the aftermarket parts.
congratulations!
shiny gundams are not bad^^
though "heaygun" i kind of a misleading name for the modifications
The astraea was superior trust me. They're just to....bland. Less artistic.
Oh and congrats.
this year they gave the best of show junior and 1st place to a 1/144 astray that had a shitty paintjob. just because his had weathering >____>
