Poster printing

Posted by $tranger

Today my first net-ordered custom print posters arrived and I must say that they turned out really well.
I used a BRS and an Okami fanart with high resolutions (>2000px X 2000px) for the 80cm X 60cm prints and a plain glass frame for each of them.

Too bad that my walls are almost full now, I'd really love to have more of these :D

My favourite BRS fanart.
There's so many interesting pictures about Black Rock Shooter that I had a hard time picking this one. But the colours, style and 'dirty' look make it just great to look at.

Imho one of the best Amaterasu pictures I've seen so far. The water marks and overall style give it a very unique and interesting look.

I was really surprised that the posters turned out so well, even though the website's image software said that the resolution might be a bit too low.
Well, as you can see: It worked, and I can only encourage you to have your own posters printed if what you're looking for cannot be found at any stores.
To all fan-artists (and especially the creators of these pictures) out there: Keep up the great work, your pictures are incredible! Thanks to you I was able to improve my room's look yet again ;)

Have you printed custom posters yet?

Amaterasu was on DeviantArt, while the BRS one was from Danbooru I think :)

It's definitely HUKE's work on that deviant profile but the pieces and time of upload, among other questionable details are quite inconsistent with his pixiv account and blog.

It might really be his DA but the statistics are sketchy and there's more proof than not that it isn't really him behind the screen.

The style is very similar, that's for sure.
Thanks for pointing out the artist's name, now I've got some more pictures to look at :P

I used one of those photo & poster printing websites you can see quite often on TV (at least you do over here ^^). On their sites you can upload your image, adjust some settings (like size or cutting off a few bits) and have it printed.
Since they had a promotion going on, each print cost me only 10 Euros.

    Great posters!

Question: I have a couple of those glass display cases. Is that a rope light setup you have in them? The light i'm using currently barely gets light to the bottom.

It's a LED light set called 'Dioder' from IKEA. This one consists of 4 LED bars with long wires and one central unit to connect them to.
The light is very bright if you look directly at the LEDs, but it seems to have very little range - even my setup with one bar per level sometimes feels a little too dark aswell.
