Saturday night loot, or Don't drink and buy figures!

Posted by Varg [www]

The plan for yesterdays trip to Akihabara was to buy figma Yui and then meet up with some friends to visit a maid café, followed by food and some drinks at an izakaya. All went according to plan except for one thing: the evening ended a bit earlier than expected. Because of that I decided to take a short walk before catching a train home. Now, a normal visit to Akiba is not very healthy for my wallet, so guess what happened when I had a couple of beers in me:

Mouseover = load notes.

Yep, the single figma soon became two. And three. And four. After finally caving in and buying BRS (I planned not to, but don't regret it; great figure) I managed to stop myself and return back home.

Moral of the story: stay sober while buying figures, you wallet will thank you.

Anyway, the good part is that I now have all Suzumiya Haruhi figmas:

Hmm, does Suzumiya Konata really count? Now I'm waiting for my preordered Kouyouen uniform version, due next month.

I also finally completed my Houkago Teatime, have been missing Yui for quite a while.

...need to get/make some kind of stage for them.

Also have to try and stay away from Akiba for a while, until my wallet has recovered...

    Lesson learned, never drink and buy figures. By the way, awesome K-ON/Suzumiya Figma collection.

      Maybe I should have extended it to "Don't drink and visit Akihabara". Glad I only had a couple of beers, because that place could easily ruin me ^^;

      Kul att det är fler svenskar här :D

      Yup, preordered her a while back, together with Strike Witches Miyafuji Yoshika. I'm waiting with bated breath!

      Next step is to figure out some kind of Haruhi-like shenanigans to do with all of them. Hmm...
