MCM October - Figure.fm Meet
I've put this in the Otaku, but the larger percentage of photos are of either Yui or Mio. Though I'm not all too sure where expos go anyway?
Moving on however, talk about an awesome yet tiring day!

I arrived at around 8:20AM, and it was already filling up. I was in the sixth line from the front. CookieDude, who arrived around 20 minutes before me (I missed my first train) was in the fifth line and down the other side of the hall. Amazing what happens in 20 minutes.

These Steward guides were placed every row or so. I guess maybe for the people who got lost on the one-way system?

Standing in line. The door on the left was the one to eventually open, to cheers and applause.

Obligatory Master Chief.

A group of Vocaloid-ers who were nice enough to pose for me, even though they were almost finished posing for other photographers when I stumbled upon them ^^;

The most recognisable license plate ever.

It says "Get to 88", of course.

Did it actually glow red? I wanted to try out one of the hover boards and take a closer look at their gravity shenanigans - they were reluctant to let one go, however.

I spy..

Table o' plush?

I spy once again..
Was tempted to get some more stuff this year, but it's all over-priced :/

These two I actually met on the DLR when travelling to the event. Nice enough guys who were helpful in letting me follow them. Didn't quite get what they meant when they said look out for Mr Red and Mr Blue. Well, now we know.

Watching Cookie and Cloud play Assassins Creed 2 (?) on something called a PS3.

Yoko

My Yui, cosplaying as Misaka Mikoto using the awesome outfit made by ddotark! ^^ ( http://www.darkdollhouse.com )

@mshaw_uk 's Mio

One of the three, i think?, BRS' Nendos we had on the table.

Portal guy!

Mio, as usual being all shy~

nyan!

One of ddotark's mamachapps (spelling?) - so irresistibly cute!

Both of them ^^

We had both Yui and Mio holding them for quite a while - they drew quite a lot of attention from the passers by! Many requests for photos, enquiries about price and where to buy them etc etc
Myself and mshaw_uk were laughing away to ourselves as many people caught glimpses and then tapped their friends on the shoulders to take a quick look over.
I think we were both proud of the attention our girls got in the end ^^

Got some sneaky snaps of cosplayers going past. I've not yet really got comfortable with going up and directly asking - I know it's the thing you should do, but I always feel awkward ^^;
But then I sometimes like photos where they're not posing, just going about business and sometimes more natural. If anyone here finds their photo and wants it taken off for any reason, please let me know.

:3

Saw lots of people with these signs

Thought this guy was pretty cool

We ended up leaving the event at around 5:30 I believe. Got to the DLR station to find people queuing to get ONTO the platform. We waited for the crowds to thin a bit before taking the plunge, and eventually got on, however due to the mass of people the DLR's door alarms were tripped quite often, resulting in the train lurching to a sudden stop every now and then.
Eventually got to...somewhere, Poplar?, then the DLR to Bank was shut, so we went to Tower Gateway? I can't remember much XD
Though we got there in the end, and after seeing a few packed busses arrive and leave at the bus station, flagged down two black cabs to take the 10 of us to Leicester Square, to walk through China Town to our dinner reservation. Was a really good walk through China Town in the evening, and I would have taken more photos if I weren't so Dollfie-ridden-security-mad ^^;

The restaurant ended up being pretty good, I'm not sure how CookieDude know's it, but it's not one of the one's you'd directly go to via appearances, and it's actually outside one of the gates of China Town. (is that still in the 'town'?)
I had curry spring rolls and chicken satay skewers. If you have this dish, don't ever put the spring rolls in the red dip on the right. Spice-overload ^^;

omnomnomnom
So all in all, a really good day out, tiring, but awesome. It was great to meet up with everyone and share some great, and albeit maddening travel experiences XD
Here's to the next meet-up! Hope you liked the post ^^

I'm warning you !!!!
Was a girl dressed in gothic stuff, absolutely adorible. Carried a sign reading "HUG ME" with the tiny words "...and I'll kill you..." underneath xD
Well that was quick, I imagine the rest of the us are planning to do posts on the whole weekend tomorrow (need to ask Cookiedude for the group photo)
The travel problems were really exhausting, but I'm still looking forward to the next meet ^^;
Considering I only went on the Saturday, no point waiting until Sunday is over too lol
Can always tack the group photo on the end XD
Arrrgh, I can see myself (non-cosplayer). I'm not noting where out of embarrassment XD
Haha ^^;
Yay, My little BRS hehehe. she looks lonely even though she is surrounded but an army of BRS lol
lol Yeah, she looked sweet perched on the edge of the table like that~
Didn't notice this poster. Great film!
Haven't seen it, but the art style looks good.
RAWR!
Lol, Kai's face :3
XD Didn't see that till now
I would be looking the other way...
AWESOME!
Thanks, it is! ^^
Muhuhu lol
Still unsure as to what she was scheming lol
Mmmm spring roll thanks for sharing!
They were omnomnom, but quite hot lol ^^;
And oh you know, I'm one of those people who are kinda uncomfortable about asking cosplayers for photos LOL But then when I went to the local con with my husband, I think he had fun asking XD esp those he thought was really cool etc. They really appreciate it and they would pose properly for him and even go to a spot with better light if needed :3 So it's somewhat worthwhile XD
Ahh cool ^^ Think I shall have to be more confident next time! XD
Nice photos. ^_^
It's weird to think that in one of them, I'm talking to the guy who's leaning off screen (sorry I never got all your names), I was the person who managed to turn up late, finally found you all on the way out and sat down on the black chair for a few hours before making my exit.
Were those all taken on Saturday? If they are, on the saturday I was about 4 rows in from the front in the line and that Joker was basically stood 5 people infront of where I was looking in the next row along. Surreal. o_O
It was good to see everyone in the same place though, eventually lol ^^
Apparently my sisters friend went too, and she must have walked past us at some point - but I hadn't a clue! So yeah, can be pretty weird sometimes haha
< I'm the next person along this way I think. :P
The quiet one who gave up on the DLR? or the one who was perched on the sofa's arm for ages?
The one who came in quite late, after getting lost for about an hour looking for everyone, then turned up when everyone was already sat down and sat on the black sort of dining chair thing. :P
Ah I remember you, was nice talking with you and that american girl ^^
If this is the same Joker who was near me, I was right near him in the line. He was actually doing the voice and everything, was pretty cool. :D
There were quite a few Jokers around - the best one I saw was actually on Flickr yesterday. Didn't see him in person. Doing the voice is always good!
Great photos!
It looks like you guys had lots of fun out there~. I wish I were there too!
Yui in mikoto cosplay looks very cute~! (^^)
Thanks tsubasa! ^^
It was a really good day - I think if not at MCM, there should be a separate Figure.fm meet -somewhere- with a lot more people ^^; Would be quite cool!
wha?? Who, what? This is suddenly relevant to my interests
Must attend one day!
Would be great to meet you there! Next one is in May I believe ;)
Lovely art~!

DO WANT!
Simon's Cat owns!!! Love those shorts.
I've only seen a few, but they're pretty funny ^^
A giant oompa loompa???
Must see in person one day.
Looks like a lot of fun. I love these type of conventions.
Took me ages to get that pose just right
LOL I SAW HER THERE TOO!
I came here and got his autograph, and he drew me a picture of simons cat yay :3
O.O
The quilting is not right...
Otherwise, would have loved to have one!
