Been trying to get Saber few times in the past but never worked out. And it seems that once again an opportunity has presented itself and chances are I won't be able to pursue it.

Well it's exactly the same price as the original Saber (not Saber Alter). The original Saber was released during Dolpa 19 back in 2008 for 95,000 JPY. From the look of it, Saber Lily has pretty much the same clothes and parts as the original Saber. The armored hand/foot part, the front chest part all look identical. The only say I would say that's different is the clothes. So I'm not surprised that they are going for exactly the same price.
Original saber has way more leg armor, and the inscriptions on the chest piece are different too.
Well I'm talking about in terms for the pricing. Yes there are variances the the armor. But the size of the piece is basically identical. So armor wise it's about the same number of pieces, same size, and roughly same amount of work. And therefore it should be about the same amount of cost and hence my comment about I'm not surprised that they are going for exactly the same price.

Well that's what holds me back as I know I'll likely not display her in original gear and main interest point will be the head. So is that really worth the premium price?
Would be great if Saber Lily is available in the international site. Seeing as how that 95k yen price would sky rocket if bought on resellers, one thing for sure though is she's gonna be my second daughter if I ever get a chance to pre-order her :3

This Saber's face is so soft and lovely, can't wait for better pics! But the price is worth 3 organs! Some will be giving up more than a kidney!

Bit disappointing that the DD 7th anniversary climax is two variant releases. I was expecting something different.
Would have like to have seen the Saber Lily as an outfit-only release, so not sure what I'll do at this point. Hard to tell from the pictures if the sculpt is identical or not. May get her, may get her but sell off the head/body or may just pass. Have to see more pictures and decide.
as i know so far, there should be one-off DD and special accessories at dolls party.

Looks like Saber Lily's head mold is a little different, though at this res it's hard to be sure. I know this'll probably sound like blasphemy, but I think I'm liking this version better. ^^; Still, it's not enough for me to go around selling stuff to scrape up the cash for her, which probably wouldn't be enough anyway. So it looks like I'm still waiting it out for Miku.
Honestly little chance for a DD Miku. I heard that Crypton never grant license to any kind of Miku dolls (even for 1 day license during doll events). They seems want to eliminate any chance for a nude Miku.....sad...

Oh dear... I really like this Saber Lily. I hope the sculpt is the same as the first. For those who are more knowledgeable about Type Moon stuff, I was wondering... If there's this alternate "Saber Lily" version of Saber, is there an alternate version of Rin I might be able to look forward to? I really like Rin, but her resale cost is not so lovely. I was just wondering if there's a chance she'd be re-released in a different outfit similar to this Saber Lily or if I should start donating internal organs to buy the current Rin?
Imo, I highly doubt it, if anything, Volks will just release a new outfit for her, but not gonna be a brand new DD. My suggestion to you is that keep checking YJP often, I was able to obtain my Rin at a relatively "decent" price around these time of last year. Seem like sellers tend to throw up an abundant amount of DD around the holiday season, which is a big factor that bring down the price
Aww... That's a shame. I wish Volks would do re-issues like GSC does with Nendoroids and popular figures. XD Even at a lower price, Rin is out of my budget at the moment.
I doubt Volks would ever really do any meaningful reissue of old dolls. They'll be inclned to re-release another doll with the same headsculpt, or change the skin colour(think Saber Alter, and from the looks of it, Alna), or create a new image for the same sculpt(new outfit, wigs, eyes, etc).
Problem is, Volks knows they're in business with high demand Limited edition commodities, and it pays best to have supplies fall just short of demands rather than fulfil the demands outright. Hell GSC may rerelease some nendroids, but not likely ones labled as LE. From what I hear, some of these re-issues are not even "new" stock per se. Just a run of stock that's been held back from the initial release to help fan the feeling of "exclusivity" upon initial release.
wow i think i just died a little inside, i really dont want to know what it will be like trying to get lily ><... i like this saber costume more .. not sure about face need more better photos ... think of the good thing no staining haha

I don't think this Alna is the same as the previous one. Thinking we're getting a White Skin Alna instead. Already have the original though, so while the new one is nice, I won't be getting one.
As for Saber, it looks to me like Lily is a new head sculpt. Personally, I like the outfit plenty. But at the current exchange rates, it's a Saber, or a full frame Nikon...
