Dollfie Dream Rin Dollfie Dream Asuka Labor Day Weekend

Posted by Wolfheinrich [www]

Well, I guess luck is on my side after all. We have a decent weather here in the Midwest and it's only partly cloudy so the Sun was out most of the day. So I got to live up to my promise and took my girls out for another photo shoot back at the wonderful flower bed. I am so happy that I am no longer limited by the memory of the camera, I shot most RAW + JPG today and I got to say it's a breath of fresh air to be able to do that without any worries! This is the first time I shot with the RAW format and I got to say, it's just amazing! All the exposure and color temperature information are recorded and I can tweak it very easily with the ViewNX software that came with my camera. A less than perfect shot due to cloud shading is easily fixed with the ViewNX software! I took a little over 200 shots today but a lot of them were test shots with varying parameters and angle, I think about 10% of them came out just the way I wanted it. So, without further ado, let me share some of this new set of photos with you, hopefully you would enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

First, let me introduce my new model for the day! My fifth daughter Rin Tohsaka!

Obviously, all of my Dollfie Daughters get a dedicated Rider Belt assigned to them, and Rin is the recipient of Kamen Rider Diend Belt, the purpose will become obvious in due time!

And last but not least, a pantsu shot that Rin can call as her own!

And I did not forget the fact that I never did finish Asuka's photo shoot the other day so she was my other model!

And obviously, I have to have a dedicated Rider Belt in mind for Asuka, Sky point Asuka anyone? :) The belt I assigned to Asuka is Kamen Rider Kabuto Belt!

After a hard day of intense photo session, I think I have managed to come up with a few good shots, as both Asuka and Rin were quite happy with the result as well! Here is a shot taken just right before I drove home.

I have to keep on practicing my skills so I can take more beautiful photos in the future!

I have taken a lot of shots today and I am still working on sorting them out, but I will eventually upload the rest of them to my flickr account

Kamen Rider Rin!, nice shot man.
Yeah RAW is great, I shoot RAW all the time for events but my figure shoots are all jpeg though since I have more control of the shooting environment. I also connect my dslr directly to my pc, so I get to preview my photos as I shoot.

Thanks ^^; I am still a newbie to DSLR photography so pardon me if I came up with a poor shot and please feel free to give any comments you might have on these shots, I am looking for way to improvement myself after all!

Oh wow, how do you connect your DSLR to you pc? Preview as you shoot? That's amazing!

I use USB link to connect DSLR to PC,
I don't take the card out because I don't have CF Card reader.

Well I use the USB cable too, but it's a whole different ball game when you can shoot and preview on a large screen, unless I misunderstood here.

like what Stepswalker said, except for Canon there's a software that is use to control the camera/change setting from the pc. So the photos I took will be save in both the CF card and direct to my PC. It's a pretty nifty thing ^^.
The photos looks good, exposure is spot on, maybe just need some variety in composition coz I see most of the shots Rin is in the center ^^

Wow, that's very nifty for Canon to do that! Ah, there is a reason for both of my models to be right in the center lol, they were standing on top of a manhole cover lol. Yeah I got to come up with a few more variety of position, I do that when I move to my alternate spot. But eventually I need to introduce more elements into my photos to come up with more variety. For now, I am just getting used to taking photos with the new camera.

seeem need to install Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 to do so
u can choose the AF point, focus from that software to control the DSLR by using USB cable.

I love that pose too! I have other shots I am still processing and would eventually upload them to my flickr. Speaking of which, I would end up having a spare DiEnd belt, would you like to have it?

Beautiful photos! You are fortunate to have such nice flowers to photograph your dollfies in. Where I live, we only see flowers briefly when the blue bonnets come out. Other then that, its pretty drab out there.

Always enjoy your dollfie photos. Thanks for sharing. ^_^

Thanks ^^; But I am already starting to run out of time this year, weather had turned cool for a few days and some flower had already dried out. I was fortunate to be able to do these photo this year, I suspect if I wait a few more weeks there will be more dead flower and it wouldn't look as pretty.

Once I am satisfied with the Default costume photos, I will begin to change their costume and start new photoset!

Haha that was the look I was going for!

      I am not quite done with Rin yet, I still have to take her out to the grass field. Chronologically, I should take Feena out, but her long dress makes it fairly difficult to make different poses. You can almost see dried out flowers in some of these pictures, so time is running short. I also wanted to finish Sasara's story >.<;
