DD Saber and DD Saber Lilly Comparisons

Edit: Now that I look at her again I still think they got some similarity. But, why wouldn't they use the same face mold again I mean the original Saber is what we all came to Love about Saber you know the sexy boldness she had to her face now it a little more like cheeky and bubbly to original Saber with the more flatter face sort of a contor to it (only way I can explain it XD). After some thought a change of mind I mean we all make mistakes some times XD.~ None the less are they both still awesome and gorgeous :D....Anyways happy lottoing ^_^

looks kinda the same, but the mouth is shaped differently. It kinda seems like they kidnapped a Yuki Morikawa and redid her faceup as Saber...to me, anyways.
Most certainly a new head mold. Saber Lilly's chin tip is much sharper than Saber's.
Saber Lilly look a bit too much like Marisa from Touhou for my taste. :( She'd look odd standing next to Saber; like a different person.
Still cute though. A shame I'm poor, or I'd try and get her >.<
They look very much alike but I think there are some differences. I will try to get the head on Yahoo Japan when she is available. Hope it doesn't exceed my already limited budget.
Saber Lily looks abit more older than Saber but I say they are 80% alike
I know this is blasphemy, but. . . I actually think I like Lily better than the original. ^^;; Her face is a little softer, and definitely has more color in the faceup. It gives her more personality to my eyes. I do wish they'd used a slightly smaller eyeball size though; it bugs me when you can't see any white in the eyes.
Exactly my thoughts! This Saber is prettier and more feminine looking. Also agree her animetic eyes are too big for her eye holes, but that's minor since changing the eyes is an easy thing.
Heh, so I'm not alone! Granted, I still prefer the original's outfit, but that's a character design gripe, not anything Volks had a hand in.
I agree! The Saber Lily mold looks much softer. I think it's just gorgeous. I also think it looks more professionally done than the original Saber mold. Like... a more refined style after years of sculpting heads versus an -also- professional hand but with a beginner feel to it for DDs.
Yeah, it's like earlier on they were trying too hard to make the DDs more like figures, and on some of the molds it backfired a little. (Like the Erika/Estel/Feena head; definitely one of my least favorite heads. It was too stiff and flat for me.) I think they're finally finding their happy medium.
Saber Lily's lips looks so much yummier. yum.
From the few photos, Saber Lily definitely has a different facial sculpt. She looks cute... quite tempting but I must resist.
darn, the more i'm looking, the cuter saber lily looks.. this isnt' doing me any good
