Touhou Thursday 1

INTRO

Touhou is Japanese doujin game made by Team Shanghai Alice, which is lead & run by a man named Zun. Zun made the music, graphics, programming which inspired hundreds of thousands to make fan art, fan music and some people's own variation of the touhou games.

Touhou is a game that is focused into the "bullet hell genre," widely known as "Danmaku." The game is basically a shrine maiden named Reimu Hakurei living between the border of our world, and Gensokyo, which is located in another dimension. She stops "youkai" or demons that try to either destroy/control Gensokyo or trying to get past her to get to the human world. Reimu gets help from friends she makes as the series progresses, which in turn become playable characters :] Oh did I mention that ALL of the bosses/youkais/enemies are ALL GIRLS? X3

Touhou has been here since 1996 and has 5 games for the PC-98 and 13 games for the windows series. I'm just going to skip the PC-98 games since my knowledge of it is limited~

What you see in every playing screen in touhou is the High Score, Score (which are self-explanatory), Player (lives) bomb, power (collect red power ups from destroyed enemies till you reach max), graze (how many times a bullet "nearly" killed you X3) and blue point counts.
How you play the game is a simple directional pad for movement through the menus and your character. Pressing Z (you will NEED to hold this XD trust me) will fire your bullets, the more power you have, the more bullets you'll shoot, pressing X to use a bomb and pressing shift to focus move. Shift is your best friend :] you'll be able to move your character slowly and you'll easily maneuver around waves of bullets. Also nearly EVERYTHING in the game is DANGEROUS, and your hitbox is basically your character's waist (You'll see a white dot in later games). All of the touhou games are originally in Japanese, but you can find english patches for them almost nearly EVERYWHERE in the internet XD if you use google right :] But the ones that I've uploaded already have the english patches installed soo no worry ^^

The first Windows game in the touhou series is Touhou 6 - The Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil which came out in 2004. I uploaded my version of Touhou 6 + English pacth, which you can download here :] It's 305 MB soo hope you have a good download speed :/ Also run the Th06e which runs the game on English~

I won't go too deep into the storyline, I'll let you beat the game and discover it on your own :]

From left to right: Rumia, Cirno, Hong Meiling, Patchouli Knowledge, Sakuya Izayoi, Remilia Scarlet & Flandre Scarlet. This is the order you'll be fighting them in different stages in touhou 6, with remilia as the main boss & Flandre as extra stage~
