The Arrival of Kyon

Posted by Varg [www]

While raiding the local used-otaku-stuff-shop for cheap manga yesterday, I made a short detour to the figure corner and to my suprise found a good looking Figma Kyon for a reasonable price. Of course I grabbed him immidiately and ran to the checkout.

Mouseover = load notes.
The Arrival of Kyon

Unboxed him and set him loose among my other figmas.

Mouseover = load notes.
The Arrival of Kyon

He soon encountered the Haruhi Brigade.

Mouseover = load notes.
The Arrival of Kyon

They quickly surrounded him, and then...

Mouseover = load notes.
The Arrival of Kyon

I feel sorry for the poor guy, but at the same time I'm a bit envious ^_^

さらば、キョン!
Farewell, Kyon!

        Probably just a combination of her thinner, sleeve-less arms, the wide smile and me not exactly being the world's greatest photographer and thus shooting from odd angles^^
        Her head is the same size as the others.

      I'd say it's "evil" in the same sense as a natural disaster ^_^
      But whatever she is plotting, that "smile" seriously creeps me out. O_o I always use her other face when she is on display...

    Nice find indeed, both my Kyons were pretty expensive.

      Yeah, I've seen him go for a lot more, even with parts missing or broken. I guess it was my lucky day. Maybe I should have bought a lottery ticket too...

      Kumagaya, ~1h 10mins train ride north of Tokyo (Ueno station). It might not hold much against Akihabara, but for being out on what is practically the Japanese countryside it's not bad, not bad at all d(^_^)
