The Cake is a Lie...

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say most of you recognize this ^^;
I made this Portal-based cake for my boyfriend's and my second anniversary owo It's not completely game-accurate (no fish-shaped crackers or rhubarb here), but it was delicious and moist o3o
None of the online recipes I found really showed a visually accurate cake, so I ditched those, went with the recipe on the cake box, and tried it my way. For the outside, I just took shaved almonds, coated them in chocolate syrup, and put a layer of them on the outside of the cake, one-by-one. Really tedious, but worth it in the end ^^

I'm not a huge fan of nuts of any kind in deserts so maybe that explains my next comment. When I first saw the cake I thought the almond shapes where because the cake was covered in roaches.
I'm not sure why that popped into my head but.... :D No offense intended, it really does look great.

Cool!, you can do a lot of pranks with this cake. Imagine the expression of someone when you are carrying the cake very careful and suddenly you purposely stumble in front of him. Damn, now I want one!

I simply used the recipe on the back of the German chocolate cake mix and added chocolate chips o3o \
The outside is just those chopped almonds coated in chocolate syrup--whip cream fluffs and cherries ^^
