figma Remodeling K-ON !! ep-09 images.

Posted by mizuna [www]

I imaged the scene where Azusa met Yui in Episode 9 in a riverbed and arranged a diorama.
I made the plain clothes of Yui and Azusa with epoxy pate.

The bicycle of Azusa remodeled the figma cycle.

What is epoxy pate? I'm curious to know how you made the clothes. Very nice work.

I'm pretty sure he means epoxy putty. You can find some cheap stuff in the plumbing section at your hardware store, but for something like this, the specialized sculpting ones like Apoxie Sculpt and Amazing Sculpt are probably a better choice for their longer working time. Unlike polymer clay (Sculpy, Fimo), epoxy putties cure via chemical reaction rather than baking, so you can use them to customize things that won't hold up in an oven.

You're welcome! It's definitely an under-appreciated sculptural medium.

Fantastic! I would really love to do a clothing mod, but money is tight, so I can't afford spares to experiment with, but your diorama is very nice! Great job! ^o^

I think a certain turquoise-haired diva's been wondering where these went.

I don't follow K-On, but the customization on that bike is FANTASTIC!

Ano....sorry this is maybe a dumb question, but how do you take off the figma's head from it's body? I only have one figma so it's quite scary for me. Arigatou~
