New Idol Supergroup - SDN48
Another '48' group you ask?? Yes! Akimoto Yasushi has a new project called "SDN48" (SaturDay Night 48). What makes this group different is that its members are 「お姉ちゃんアイドル」(Onee-chan Idol) and are therefore slightly more mature than their schoolgirl counterparts in AKB48 and SKE48. Former AKB48 members Noro Kayo and Ohori Megumi and SKE48 member Tezuka Machiko were chosen as the first members of the group. With maturity, of course, comes increased sexiness which seems to be one of Akimoto-san's main goals for this project! (YAY!) So-- by focusing on sexiness, do the girls lose a moe-point or two? Well, why not decide or yourself? The video below is their debut single, "GAGAGA" which comes out *today* on Universal Records.

Just got into Girls Generation myself.
at least they're pretty excited than any other Japanese singer group, they qualified as girl's generation's rival

Hmmm. Well, I don't know a lot about Onyanko Club to be honest, but weren't they mostly high school age? This group is focused on girls who are a little older. I *think* they might be all over 18 years old. Was there a different group that was started later, when some Onyanko Club members became a little older?
