"Good Smile Company" what's appened??
I've just recieved an online bought Haruka Amami figure by GSC. I'm totally disappointed. The figure is clearly shoddy! The colour is terrible, half of the figure, better the right leg and part of the body is quite good coloured, in a bright pink way, but the rest of the body, in particular the face is ugly! It's totally yellow, withouth shades like the left leg and rest of the body!
I've just comunicated the proble to the site where i bought the figure, but seens that the problem could be of the way that the figure has made...
Hope to recieve help and a good treatment...i'm really disappointed.

photos are bad, but the problem is quite clear...

totally withouth shades...(except one leg..)

look at this leg..pink...

..and this one..yellow...

oh crap! Sorry about the problem!
thx..i hope to solve it...
half tan???
Not so sure about this, may be the parts looks ok separately and pass the QC, but when combined the finished figure doesn't? Or is this some shadow effect which is made on purpose?
Anyway sorry about the problem... Hope you can get a change or return or something...
i don't know, but the problem is that the figure is really bad maded..it's seems like Haruka feels sick...(probably the voyage from Japan to here affected her..)
thx a lot!
From the looks of it, there seems to be no problem.
The face doesn't look ugly, I can find uglier ones lol.
Maybe the tan is intentional, since it's a figure in a swimsuit.
Look at this and compare it to your own, http://www.goodsmile.info/product/en/633/Haruka+Amami.html
yes, it's the exactly series of pics that i used for comparing mine... and i think that, simply looking at the colour of her face is clear the difference between the one of GSC site and mine... one leg tunned and rest of the body white/yellow not seems to be intentional...(i hope so!)
I'm sure it's just the lighting that GSC may have used when taking the photos.
It doesn't look bad, may I ask where you got this from? since it was released in 2007. It could be a bootleg but I really doubt it.
Are you sure you're seeing it right? One leg is different from the other - far from OK in my opinion.
thx a lot...it's what i'm trying to explain..
No problem. To be honest, it's only clear in some of the images so that might be why others have skimmed through them.
I've just found another picture on myfigurecollection (http://myfigurecollection.net/picture/7838&ref=figure%3A623) seems to have the same problem but it doesn't look as bad as yours. Maybe try contact the image poster?
wow! thx a lot.. looking at the image it's true, seems like the figure had the same problem of mine, but, like you sayd, not so bad.. now i'm waiting for an answer by the shop (they sayid to me that they are going to contact the manufacturer..) i'll try to do like you sayid: contact the poster and we'll see... thx a lot, really ^^
well the site is a good site: Plamoya. I don't know how a light can hide the fact that a leg is tanned and the other leg clearly no..but it's possible that the problem is a store fault when storing it...don't know..but i'm a bit irritated..
Well, this figure is somewhat old, I think, and when GSC first started they weren't too great... (their first figure, of Nemo Asakura was awful looking, imo. XD)
I don't really see any problem with her though.
yeah..i know that the figure is old, but not for this reason should be half coloured -.- probably from my pics it's not so clear the problem, but if you could see the figure you would be able to see perfectly what i'm talking about..
now, when I see your first picture and the light is right on it I must say this is absolute not okay.
The promo photos from gsc are ever prototypes in perfect conditions and the final product is often not so good looking, so you can explain the lost shading but not the different colors on the legs this is poor quality... my meaning..
exactly..i think that is possible a bit of less quality, but mine is terrible...the legs are totally different -.- i really don't know how to solve the situation, hope that the shop solves the problem, but i'm not so affiant..
So where did you buy it? Should be two problems:
1st. Bootleg
2nd. Placed near a light/heat source.
This figure is pretty old, and had some bootlegs. So both can give you some problems.
*happened
Tsk, tsk. I know all figures will have its own occasional mishaps, but GSC is really dropping the ball this year.
Let's hope they earn back their rep next year.
I wonder if this figure was in a window and was exposed to a lot of sun. That discoloration might actually be a "tan".
