Touhou Thursday 3

I am sorry to say, that there will be no touhou 8 explanation today D: I have to make this post fast and submit my assignments D:

I'll just have some pics, character profiles and music today~ sorry -(owo)-

I'll start with the funniest crossover of the week (I think i"ll add this to future posts now XD

but haha lets start the character profiles~

This is Reisen Undongein Inaba! My 2nd favourtie character in the touhou series ~(^w^)~
She is one of the legendary lunar rabbits, because she has lunacy-inducing eyes, telepathy with other moon rabbits and the manipulation of wavelengths. Which makes her a formidable opponent, strong or not, she'll make you have a run for your money :P Reisen's power of insanity comes from her eyes; she uses them to refract and twist waves, disorienting and confusing her victims and deceiving them with frightening illusions. It also the case that she can manipulate sound and light waves. This is shown against her battle agaisn't Mystia in Phantasmagoria of Flower View.
Her actual age is unknown, at least to be 38 years old, because she fled to Earth from the moon around 1969 to avoid the human invasion to the moon, which never happened because Apollo 11, just landed and checked out the moon (one giant step for mankind anyone?) LOL she lives in Eientei with Eirin, Kaguya and Tewi hidden in the forest of magic. She also does delivery for Eirin in the human village selling medicines to the humans and Rinnosuke.
Fun facts:
-Reisen's right hand is often depicted to be making a gun shape, which leads to fan assumption that she shoots danmaku in this manner, and she indeed does this in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody.
-"Udonge", the short version of the nickname Eirin calls her by, translates to "plantain flower," whose buds look a lot like rabbit ears.

This is Shameimaru Aya , she is a Tengu with great sight and hearing abilites as well as the manipulation of the wind. She is over 1000 years old and lives in Youkai Mountain.
Aya is officially Gensokyo's reporter. She writes slightly exaggerated news articles about anything that happens in Gensokyo. She's actually stronger than she knows, because sometimes she accidentally wins battles, when she only meant to cover the news story. Her newspaper is called the Bunbunmaru Newspaper. She and Momiji Inubashiri run that newspaper gathering news stories and articles.
Fun facts:
- The name Shameimaru is derived from Sha-Mail (Shamēru → Shameimaru), which is text messages with photos, very appropriate for a fast-travelling journalist who takes pictures.
-The characters for Shameimaru literally mean, in sequence, "to shoot (an arrow)" (or "to shine into/onto"), "command, decree, order" or "life" (or "hit/target" in the word　meichuu (命中)), and "circle" (common name ending, usually seen in names of crafts and swords or similar weapons). Aya means "text, sentence, literature", and it's also the first character of "Bunkachou".

This is Izayoi Sakuya , the head maid of the Scarlet Devil mansion (SDM as what people would call it).
Sakuya is a normal human, whose abilities can stop, slow down, fast forward and maybe reverse time itself. She is also known to be proficiently with knives (sharp ones D:)
Not much to say about Sakuya, other than she works for her mistress, Remilia Scarlet, and is apparently the only human working at or living within the mansion. She appears in a lot of touhou games after TH06, and she is known to place knives in midair and resume time to allow these knives to fly towards her targets. Stopping time is also a handy way of doing large amounts of maid work in a short time, because nearly everyone living or working at the mansion are maids, being the chief of them all means there are few people there with more authority within the mansion than Sakuya.
Fun facts:
- Sakuya Izayoi is apparently not her real name, according to Perfect Memento, but is only a name given to her by Remilia. Her real name is unknown.
- According to Sakuya, if she happens to run out of knives, she can freeze time and pick up the ones she threw previously.
- Sakuya can also use her powers to accelerate time, such as making bamboo flowers bloom instantly, even though this would normally take sixty years.
- Sakuya may be a homage to Dio Brando, the main villain of the manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, a vampire who is known for stopping time and being skilled at throwing knives. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has been referenced several times in the official games.

This is Wriggle Nightbug, the first stage boss of TH08 XD hahaha. She is a Youkai insect with the ability to manipulate other insects (very powerful indeed). Her age is unknown, where she lives is unknown and what she does is unknown XD
Wriggle is basically a firefly with the ability to control other insects. She likes using her ability to direct concerted performances for her own amusement. She also likes using it to attack humans who underestimate her significance or the importance of insects in general; she seems to take it personally when someone offends insects.
In Imperishable Night, Stage 1 Wriggle attacked a pair of travelers that looked like they would be easy targets, but the pair fought Wriggle off without breaking a sweat. AHAHAHAH XD
Sorry Wriggle fans....I tend to make fun of stage 1 bosses a lot XD
Fun facts:
- Wriggle's appearance and name are both quite androgynous compared to other characters, so it used to be a point of some contention whether Wriggle was a male or female character before the release of full version, her wearing pants certainly didn't help either.
- In fan works, she is often seen with other lower level, childish characters such as Cirno, Rumia, and Mystia. She is occasionally called or labelled "G" (short for gokiburi, or cockroach).

This is one of the greatest Touhou AMVs I have ever seen in a whileeeeeee. Let me say this again, This is a fan made music video, not an official touhou anime, so don't get your hopes up T^T *cries in a corner*

I have never heard of Carbonic acid before, and decided to research them for a bit, but what I discovered was that they are a fairly new circle. Also, this is Byakuren's theme, in TH12.
