Final Fantasy Distant Worlds in Toronto

Posted by Rin [www]

Well, Final Fantasy Distant Worlds rolled into Toronto yesterday. This is a concert that plays popular music from the Final Fantasy series. The concert is actually a Square Enix concert and Nobuo Uematsu was in attendance during the event.
Songs Performed:
Liberi Fatali, Don’t be Afraid, Fisherman’s Horizon from Final Fantasy VIII
To Zanarkand from Final Fantasy X
Aerith’s Theme, JENOVA, One-Winged Angel, Opening – Bombing Mission and the Main Theme from Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy theme from Final Fantasy 1-3
Dear Friends from Final Fantasy V
Vamo’ alla Flamenco from Final Fantasy IX
Ronfaure and Memoro de la Stono – Distant Worlds from Final Fantasy XI
The Promise and Senkou from Final Fantasy XIII
Navigator’s Glory and Primal Judgement from Final Fantasy XIV
Opera “Maria and Draco” and Terra's Theme from Final Fantasy VI
Swing de Chocobo

They played a lot of songs but I wondered what happened to FF4.
Here is my small coverage of this spectacular event. If the concert rolls into your city, then you should get yourself a ticket and go to this wonderful event!!!

It wasn't a Q & A. It was more like an autograph session. I did talk to Uematsu though...

I have the Distant Worlds 1 & 2 albums. They are of the best pedigrees I have heard among modern classic arranges. Obviously I would go to a real concert if I have a chance.

Wish they'd come to Michigan. Toronto is the closest they've been, and it was too far. Stupid being poor.

Too bad I'm no longer based in the UK, else I would have got tickets to this November's performance in London at all costs. Now to pray and hope they do come to Malaysia, or at least Singapore...
