Sewing practice, plastic cutting & loot

I'm slowing getting the hang of using the sewing machine now and made a couple more stocking for my dollfie. Since I have still got a lot material to play with. I had a piece of plastic lying around and decided to make use of it. I've never tried making anything with plastic before, so I decided to make something simple for my dollfie to play with, a katana. So far, i've only created the blade and since i don't have the DD hands #06 yet (hopefully soon). I have to put it on hold, as I don't know how thick the hilt should be. I hope the end result will look like what I imagine it to be :P
Also got a figma (Makinami Mari) today, to go with my figma collection.
Awesome sewing job. May I ask what type of stitch you used and how you attatched the elastic ruffle at the top?
Just used a normal straight stitch, pulling the elastic a bit while i sew very slowly making sure that the fabric is still aligned with the elastic.
