Curly Dollfie Hair Care?

I've had Louise for awhile now and she is an incredibly adorable MDD. However, after moving her around with me when changing dorms in college, her hair has unfortunately become a bit frizzy. I don't have much experience with dollfies and was wondering what I could do to fix up her hair. What's your advice on curly hair maintenance? If you have any general dollfie advice, it would be appreciated as well. ^^

I would love to know the answer to this as well. Some of the wigs Miu owns are curly... I don't know how exactly to make them look silky smooth like so many other people are able to do... Right now I use a extra soft tooth brush to comb the hair... but that doesn't work too well on the curly ones.

It's really hard to maintain wigs with so many curls! I've tried brushing each section of curls but it doesn't turn out great. I guess we should look into getting the VOLKS dollfie comb for curls. ^^

Usually after I take my dolls out their hair does get a bit messy, I would use a small brush (taken from a smaller doll) to brush their hair from the bottom slowly working towards the top, here's a short video I made :) http://bit.ly/c1g0Jd

Thanks, that helps a lot! Brushing from bottom-up has organized Louise's hair quite well although it's still a little tangled due to the brush I used. Do you know where I can buy a good brush online? C:

The brush I used is meant for Licca dolls, I would think say a barbie comb/brush might work too. I have seen rather nice results from a friend who used a new/clean toothbrush for humans.
Actually I would recommend not over handling/brushing/washing wigs(or doll's hair in general) because sometimes they can actually cause the wig to loose the "oil" they put on to keep the shine and texture faster. :)

I'm gonna test out this new soft toothbrush that I had lying around then! It's so hard to not over-brush Louise's hair since it moves around a lot. I'll do my best though. Thanks for the advice. <3

Have you tried using the Volks wax? Worked like a charm on Yukino's wig until I tried to give her straight hair. ^_^

Oh! That would probably be best for Louise's perma-curly hair. ^^ I'll look into it, thanks!

Curly hair is rather tough, I'm sticking to straight hair for my DD's for now.

I don't blame you, I'm thinking about getting a wig with straight hair for Louise for the sake of convenience.
