Nendo Photography

Hi everyone. This is my first post on figure.fm. I'm waiting on some loot right now and I plan to buy a digital SLR rather soon so I can take some photographs of the cuties once they arrive.

I'm a little vexed on which lens I will purchase, though. I've heard some people refer to macro lenses as the way to go for photographing nendo's. If you have any experience with different size lenses (be they macro or not) I would greatly appreciate a post with a little info about your view on which lenses work nicely, and (hopefully) not too long from now I'll have some nice images to post.

Also, is the best macro lens for the job a prime lens?
