Mirai Ita-Tank
Hello everyone. This is my first post here and would like to humbly share my latest project. Inspired by Danny's Ita-Sha and Alodia's Mirai Cosplay (I have an autographed pic on my wall), I decided to build an Ita-Tank for my Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine Army.
The main kit is a standard Games Workshop Rhino Armored Transport. The upper hatch was sealed shut and sanded prior to painting.
[Just some minor painting mistakes as it is my first time using masking tape in paining, not so obvious when used in battle]
It took a total of 5 days to plan and build this but it is worth it distracting Chaos troopers long enough for my troops to get in. [I know, the "Mirai" is in Katakana, another minor mistake. =D]
The water slide decals were custom crafted and printed from a color laser printer. I had some trouble estimating the decal sizes but I think it turned out OK. Next project: Haruka Whirlwind Rocket Artillery maybe?

Thank you! Minor mistakes though. When I build the Haruka Whirlwind, it should come out better.
PS. I have no beef with the Tau, I hate Orks, and Bugs (Tyranids) though.

Hi! I am from the Philippines as well. You can get water slide decal paper (brand is SCOPA) at National Bookstore. You can pick between inkjet and laser. Be sure to get the clear version and the SCOPA decal transfer solution (spray can). Then follow the instructions on the paper and the can. (Please also wear a mask, the chemicals in the spray will stick to your lungs!)
As for the autographed pic, maybe after a few more posts, I can show my room. =)

mmm i play classic Warhammer, try to imagine my "Corpse Cart" of the Vampire Counts like an ItaCart....seems to be a bad idea! But yours is fantastic! Good work!!
Thanks! Have never tried Warhammer Fantasy though. I was introduced to the Emperor by Dawn of War (same guys who made Homeworld). You can make a steam tank if you are Empire. (That would look even more cool!)

From the title I thought it was a normal tank, but you deserve bonus points for using Warhammer 40K vehicles. :D
Just be careful not to meet Firaeveus while out driving.
Thanks! Other tanks have less surface area to apply decals so a Rhino was the best choice.
Last time I checked, Firaeveus is still busy in the Kaurava system.

Is the Rhino going to be used by a command/veteran squad or regular marines?
Depends on the battle scenario but my Tactical Marines are using the Razorback, Judge Dread (my Dreadnought) is using the Drop Pod, and my vets have jump packs. Maybe my scout snipers will get this instead.
