Pop Culture Shop: Out of this World
11th December 2010, i volunteered to be the photographer when one of the Heroes 4 Kids members finally opened his own Pop Culture Shop called 'Out of this World' in Hobart, Australia. Majority of the H4K (Heroes 4 Kids) members are costumers, seeking out volunteering cosplayers and costumers (may they be 501st Legion members or anime nuts) to join the cause of fund raising work and spread around good will.
Comrade 'Wookie' (seriously nicknamed as Wookie) finally held the grand opening of his shop. Collecting and selling off collector items from the retro 1980s to the current 22nd Century. Its a combo between a Collectors' Shop and a Toy Museum.
Decided to do the photographer for the shop and take pictures of their advertising method for Out of this World. This shop is also known as the HQ for H4K, so that people like me can go there and swap into Otaku Trooper mode for city trooping!

The entrance to the shop. Dont feel alienated and come on in!

That there at the counter is the shopkeeper, Wookie!

Selling collectibles from all kinds of eras.

Halo, Simpsons, LOTR, etc

When i say old school, i mean it!

Sure we may read a lot of manga, but do not forget about the comics too T_T

Old consoles for use/sale/display

Star Wars ship collectibles

LOTR anyone?

I wonder if the fangirls would buy the Legolas figures.

To those that lived long enough, these are the muppets. Ancient characters from the 1980s and they were 'moe' back then.

Transformers figures from different eras

Retro arcade games with a dummy wearing the Ghost Rider cosplay.

Ninja Turtle collectibles. From the 1990s.

You guys see any familiar systems in there?

Back then, when they made games, most games had their own action figures as well.

Transformers G1 poster from the 1980s.

Here's Freddy!

For the moment, Cash sales only

i knew there were Simpsons figures, but i never saw them before.

Zoidberg was the only Futurama figure for sale >.<

Hot Wheels anyone?

When it comes to Pop Culture, Pop Culture fans are movie fans that can rival any anime otaku.

Anyone played any of these before?

Wookie has a brother and he cosplays Hobart's Friendly Neighborhood Spidey!

Vader and Spidey taking a stroll, advertising for OOTW.

Received many positive responses every minute.

Pleasing the fans of all ages!

Vader is a Church going villian, who would have thought!

Spidey climbing up the church walls.

Vader: "I wanna go that way! Huuu huuu!"
Spidey: "That way? Deshou deshou?"

Vader: "I am not an ATM"

Tourists we met on the way. They were super psyched.

We can sense a Marvel fan when we see one.

Spidey and Vader chilling after a nice peaceful walk around Hobart.

We met a guy with a lot of camera tripods, he went nuts with the camera when he met Spidey and Vader

Pretty girls waiting for their turn for fanservice =D

This passionate photographer went all out. Took out his tripods, flashgun and remote flashes, etc

Like cosplayers attracting otakus, western character cosplayers attract the same type of crowd. The pop culture crowd.

Spidey, Vader and I decided to pop by the News Agency where my friend and brother work at.

Ecchi friend is ecchi.

Vader loves keeping up to date with the recent news.

Guess this reference. Vader likes this bookshop. Gee .. i wonder why

Why hasn't this been re-released yet?
Probably for the same reason Goldeneye hasn't. Rare is now owned by Microsoft, but afaik, Nintendo still has claim over some Rare produced titles.
Ahh but Golden HAS been re-released. Came out last month. Only the "upgraded' it to feature the new face of James Bond.
they need more games with finisher moves, rather than just KOs.
Oooh. I haven't really been following the Wii version that well. I was under the impresession it wasn't a remake of the N64 version.
