金色の闇 Konjiki no Yami 1st Photoshoot
金色の闇, my 1st PVC figure. Finally after over a year of time, here is her 1st photoshoot. I am very glad that I finally took a photoshoot of やみちゃん. I have not watched ToLoveる yet, but I have always wanted to. Given my schedule of things, I probably won’t be able to start until the summer of next year. ^ ^;;

This 1/8 PVC figure of やみちゃん is made by our beloved Good Smile Company & released in April of 2009 (I bought her in August).
I really love how dynamic her pose is, especially with her hair swaying around & the details of the worn out ends of her dress(?).

In my opinion, the face represents the very essence of figures. So here are multiple shots of やみちゃん’s face sculpt from multiple angles.

Glaring at you~
Below are almost identical shots, the top one has an additional light source on her right which detailed her hair, while the bottom one doesn’t. Which photo do you prefer?

I couldn’t really decide so I uploaded both and have you decide instead. ^ ^;
Both looks very nice in my opinion! ^ω^

Diagonal shot. I think that this shot would have been great with her blade (which I actually never used once).

I really like this shot. I think it’s cute. ^ ^

Zooming out a bit, upper body shot. You are always going to see her hair flowing out to all sides.

Finely sculpted. °¬°
いただきます。

Shots from the back still shows the dynamic elements of this figure, however, without the face the figure just don’t feel complete.

Really amazing details. The bands on やみちゃん’s legs are neatly painted, nothing spilled over. Even the bands inside her boots are painted neatly! ^ ^
NSFW below? Low angle shots!

パンツは白です。

The hair flows really well. Always looks dynamic. ^ ^

Details on her waist. All of which are neatly painted and nothing spilled over. Love the use of gloss and matte. ^ ^

Back of her hair. Maybe could use a bit more details? Not that you would really see them that much though. ^ ^;
Overall, this figure of 金色の闇 by Good Smile Company is excellent & I am very glad to have her. Her pose is dynamic, the details are plenty & sharp and she looks great as long as you have her faced in the right direction. My only complaint is that her face could have been more bubbly & chubbier.
Hope you enjoyed this photoshoot!

Haha nice photos, you're making me appreciate my Yami more now. I should really clear the dust off mine some time soon, just cleaned my shelf yesterday... and shes all dusty, along with some of my other figures :(
Dust can gather pretty fast don't they? :/
Gotta take care of your figures though!
Just be warned not to expect too much of the anime. I've never read the manga (it may or may not be better) and the only reason I watched the anime was because I loved the design of this figure so much that I just had to see what Yami-chan was like. The anime is all fan service all the time and no substance, to be honest. It took a lot of endurance for me to finally hold out long enough to meet her in the anime since I normally don't like my anime that brain-dead. Despite this, I still want the GSC Lala figure to match Yami. XD
I see....well, don't worry, I never expect anything. I don't even read summaries. I usually end up liking just about every anime that I watch. I actually don't mind if it has no substance. I care more about smiling at the end of the day with something that made me laugh or happy more than a complexly intriguing story.
And there's also cute 2D girls... ¯¬¯
Lovely photos. Such quality, lighting, and angles with proper lens focusing is win. I haven't watched To Love Ru, but may get around to it if I have time.
Thanks for the compliments. ^ ^
I definitely focus on taking sharp & clear images, but lighting & angles might need more practice though. ^ ^;
Nice photos. She looks like a great figure - really dynamic pose with all that hair flying about!
She is a great figure. ^ ^
I agree with her dynamic pose!
nice shots!
the figure looks really beautiful. :3
