Finale of Suzumiya Haruhi (Supposedly)
..and we are back with our final weekly discussion of the series we all know and love (but hated at some point for a number of you), Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu.

With this final episode of the Sigh of Suzumiya Haruhi Arc, the chronicling of the making of the film 'The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina' ends as well. With this new Mirai Gaia system, more screenshots are available for your viewing pleasure!
Overall, I have to say it was a pretty good episode and a great conclusion to the series, though it turns out that the episode itself skipped over the events of the Cultural Festival, so the next episode will not be a repeat of 'Live Alive!'.
This episode contained a number of comedic moments mixed with real dramatic scenes that were ordered in an ababa format. While it was slightly jarring to go from the comedy to drama and back to comedy again, it somehow balanced out and I was left feeling pretty satisfied overall. However, I really would have loved to have seen more of the filming itself.
In conclusion, I have to say that after all the hate that this series received, it still is a good series. Thinking back, while many of the moves and decisions made by the companies (Endless Eight) were bad, or horrendous as some might say, a lot of the hate was really unnecessary (yeah, they did eight episodes, but what can we do?) and the Sigh Arc really brought back the spirit of the series that Haruhi fans, big and small, know and love.
Whether the final four episodes are repeats or the reappeared 'Disappearance' arc, only time will tell. And thinking about it, since this episode skipped over 'Live Alive', then technically, they would only have 2 episodes to go in chronological order to fill up the 4 episode slot. Hm...

Kyon meets Haruhi to tell her about Yuki, Koizumi and Mikuru's true identity. Interesting to note that this scene appeared in the first PSP game of Suzumiya Haruhi as well. Interesting.

I almost lost hope after watching endless eight, seriously it demotivated me ever watching the series. I rather watch Haruhi-chan YouTube version. Anyways thanks god!
No offense, but I cannot recommend the light novel series to you if you could not handle the anime version. I also cannot recommend that you wait for "Disassociation" either due to the fact it also works in a manner that may demotivate the "lightcore" fans, as it seems to have done with "Endless Eight". (^_^;;
The light novel only has one chapter of Endless Eight thankfully. I wonder how many people went to the fan translation of Endless Eight because of the seemingly endless Endless Eight.
Yeah i almost gave up on it as well but persevered after the endless eight saga it was pretty good.

With "Endless Eight" both being made for the hardcore Haruhi fans and showing that KyoAni refused to dumb down the series by turning their backs on any portion of the light novel series... I am glad that they did not skip out on any details. Then again, they said it was an intelligent series by using mathematical terms in the intro's background. X3
Also, the way this series goes, I now feel like I can hope for new seasons/series and not worry that they will make any compromises. Heck, I am even hoping to be watching anime like I do now when they get to the "Disassociation" storyline, as they'd have to tell two versions of one story (which I am 100% sure those who could not handle "Endless Eight" will not like this story).
I still have to watch the 2nd season of haruhi. I've heard that the 2nd season is bad. does any one think so. But still i can't wait to watch it.
Protip: Watch endless eight ep1 and endless eight ep 8 if you havent watched it. Saves you about 3 hours right there :3 lol'd when Shamisen-chan talked... Nyon :3

I cracked up so much when Shamisen talked... not because he talked, but the fact that he kept sliding off Yuki's shoulders AS he talked! That was pure gold! XD
I love Kyon as a narrator, his "And with each new colour of contact lens Haruhi gave Mikuru, more fearful things were shot out." That's CLASSIC Kyon :)
I'd go all "Yare yare" at the end, heh. And yes, that shot of evil Witch Yuki is great.

Even after the 8 episode mishap in this series.... I still love it to bits.

Naw, Kyon is hot. Koizumi's a creepy guy... I can imagine him drooling over Kyon like a piece of meat... scary..

Shamisen tends to fall off Yuki's shoulder that he's all desperately grabby while explaining thing... ^^;
For a stray cat, Shamisen spoke intelligencally and philosophically, also his voice reminds me of some other animal-esqe thing fron another anime. Well now we just have to wait another 3 or so years for kyo-ani to make Haruhi disappear, Koizumi not constantly coming onto Kyon, Yuki shy and blush..... Mikuru can go do her things...
I think that the anime you would be referring to would be Inuyasha. Myoga the flea and Shamisen have the same seiyuu in Japanese. So, was this episode the last episode for sure? I remember the orginal series going out of order. Is there more episodes to come?

I only saw very little of EP 00, and my folks had to fast-forward some scenes. I got up to the part where Kyon-Kun said that Yuki was an alien witch
