River Walk - San Antonio, TX
Fri 2010/12/17 22:40 JST
Miu and I stopped to take a break in San Antonio, Texas. A friend had suggested that we take a look at the river walk, even though it was Thursday morning there were plenty of people and fairly active.
Next stop: New Orleans. :)

Nice set of outdoor shots :)
Thanks. :)
Very beautiful outdoor photo.^^
Thank you. :)
Beautiful pics!~ Can't wait to see the next shots!
Sadly, I got cold feet when I pulled into New Orleans... Miu and I were scared for our lives! Her next shoot may be a few more days away since I now need to find a home in Pensacola, Florida.
Beautiful! if there's one thing I love about Miu Amaha Dollfies, it's how much range they have with just a few changes of wig and eyes :D
I agree, her eyes are quite lovely and she works very well with other wigs. :) The silver/grey one she has been wearing during our cross-country trip is my favorite but I love all the other ones as well. :)
!Muy bonita chiquita!
hehe, I think she turned a little Hispanic just by trying to read that!
Cool!
The riverwalk is always fun!
you can't tell whether you are in Texas or Mexico down at the river walk :P
It was quite the experience! I may just have to try it again some time. :)
Cool photos, looks like a great location for some DD photography of cute Miu.
It truly was a great location, setting aside that the way is *dirty* it really is pretty. And the people there don't give you any trouble at all... most were rather intrigued with what I was doing. I think the secret is to look pro and then they leave you alone.
Beautiful photos! My family is from Texas. My parents are in Corpus Christi. It is great to see the Riverwalk in your photos. Miu is so lovely! She looks like she had a good time.
I'm going to have to explore more of Texas another time, but the River walk was a really great location. :)
I miss going there every Christmas..:< Lovely shots and color saturation.
Thanks, do they do something extra special there for Christmas? I saw the lights hanging from the trees... but since I was there in the morning I didn't get to see them fully lit... I bet that is quite a sight.
Uh, I been there too :D! Nice shoots
Totally a nice location! Thanks. :)
Pretty photos^^ Miu's a cutie<3
Miu is totally a keeper, but she wants some sisters now... >.>;;
Sweet, I've been there! That does make a great dollfie photoshoot spot!
Quite, secluded, people don't bother you... yup! That location rocked. :)
Very cool picture!
It was kind of scary for both of us! She was actually at the top of a bridge looking over the river... a strong gust of wind would have pushed her over the edge. Then you would have seen in the news about a crazy guy jumping in that dirty river after his doll...
Yeah, wind and vinyl dolls do not mix. However, at least a faceplant doesn't result in serious injury like it does for resin...(/me shudders to think of what happened to a doll at a meet I attended...faceplant into a gravel "zen garden." What happened next definitely broke the zen calm of the location.
wow... I imagine that was a chaotic moment!
Chaotic, and very upsetting for the gal who was owned by that particular doll. Poor thing, the nose is going to have to be reconstructed. Oddly enough, this was also the meet where this fleece blanket I had stained my MDD girl Mitzi. She was only on the offending blanket for 15 minutes, dammit!
Trust me, I would do the same for my girls! I have taken dives in the house when one of them was about to tip in order to save them.... what's a bruise or two when keeping your girl safe? :)
You know it, my skin heals faster!
Oooo! Also a great shot!
I saw that brick wall and I knew I had to get a few (40) pics with Miu in front of it. :)
Very good shots of her! Must have been a neat area to hang out at. So going to new Orleans next.... are you on a whirlwind tour before you get back to Florida or what?
It was truly whirlwind! I went to New Orleans today but both Miu and I got cold feet after looking around... I couldn't find parking, I scratched someone else's bumper, and Hotels were crowded/filled with people that intimidated me... so I bailed and went straight to Pensacola, FL. I've got a hotel here now till I find a house... until then Miu's next shoot will have to wait.
Yikes, sounds like I would have done the same in those circumstances. Good call.
I still can't understand how you moved over here without having secured a house yet. How are you handling that? What about possessions and such? Are you carrying everything you own in your car? U-Haul?
hah, Well as you can imagine not everything fits on the plane. So all I have are a few bags at the moment... all of my other possessions are being shipped here professionally. I've got a hotel room until I find a place (work pays for up to 10 days). Once I have a home I call the shipping company and tell them where they can deliver everything to.
For a while on both ends it is rough living... nothing for the kitchen, an air-mattress... and on one end or the other no transport! I lucked out in Hawaii as a friend had a car I could borrow... but usually either you rent one, or tough it out.
I did make sure that Miu was on the plane with me, as well as most of my camera gear, and one laptop.
Ok, that makes a lot more sense to me now. XD I know it won't be fun till you get your new place but I'm sure having Mui there to comfort you and help you find a place will help out alot. I hope you get something nice quickly!
wonderful shots!
she looks gorgeous. :3
Thank you. :) Miu is a very pretty girl. I'm glad I adopted her.
I like this shot.
Me too, I actually loved that spot and took a TON of pictures there. :)
very natural shots, i like the view, her outfir match the environment. so nice, love the photos.
Thanks. :) Everything just sort of fell into place this time.
Really love this shot. :D
