My thought of the Perfect Grade Strike Freedom

just wanna share my thought about the new PG strike freedom...
I'm not gonna get this kit for now, but i will add to my collection soon, it's just not among my priority now, before i look at the review it was among my TOP Priority :-P
so why not get this kit for now?....for me it doesn't look good, and doesn't look "PGish", it just look like the 1/60 lightning version with just some modification, and a bit bulky, and the armor doesn't have any PGish pane line, the Master Grade version still look awesome and for now PG Strike Gundam is still the awesome Perfect Grade
as i said i will add to my collection, but that might be when the price is reduce :-P, so it wont be worth it to spend a lot for this kit now
...so guys that is just my thought, so hope to see how you guys thought about it, so please comment

I have both lightning edition and MG SF, And PG 00. I look at it and it is a MG and Lighting ver. mixed to getter. That may save the cost of design. I sat that thought would not make much of a different, my MG full bust still look better that.

Apart a redesign wing, the rest it the same, It's very expensive kit. MY PG 00 Riser never be able to be standing well or moving around as good as lighting edition

It depend that you want it or not I just to go to wait until I got more money, and rethink.

sorry to say this, but this is most lame PG kit!! :(
    1. the wing is fragile
    2. no PG lining design
    3. similar to MG version which is much better
    4. not entirely gold plated[its a PG,so the gold plated must be the entire frame]

The wing is fragile indeed; I would think that Bandai would have used a metal pin to increase durability, especially because it's such a heavy component. As for the panel lines; the Strike Freedom is supposed to be a curvy mobile suit; Unlike the other releases (which mostly use hard geometry), it should have smooth curves and slightly beveled edges for those parts that use hard geometry. I agree that the MG is better (Especially when you decide to get the Full Burst mode), but the sheer size combined with plated joints and the complexity of building make it better than the Wing Zero Custom, but not as stable as non-backpacked units like the Basic Strike, Red Frame and RX-78.

I believe if every single marking decal and gold stickers are put on,it'll look it's worth it.This PG's main attraction is supposed to be it's DRAGOON system, and yet the DRAGOONs are plain blue without the stickers. Then again,25k yen is pricey for a PG with less PGish design.

On a perfect grade design standpoint.. This thing pretty much suck

    - No extra panel lines to give it depth which is usually seen in PGs
    - Articulation is subpar, even worse than the MG
    - No real gimmick differentiating it from either the 1/60 NG or the MG (aside from the SLIGHT improvement on the DRAGOON).
    - Fragile wing is fragile.

the MG strike freedom actually have a resin conversion to make it look similar to PG version DRAGOON, even the more detail panel lines for its armour pieces!! :)

Well, i think it lacks "cracks" on the armor (refer some MG Strike Freedom mods) where armor parts are splitted to reveal more gold frame (imagine unicorn gundam). Panel line + decals will make the difference though. On fragile wings, don't forget it is a 1/60 scale, so the "thin" wing parts are not that thin as you imagined.

Asking for a fully gold frame? I suggest you don't. If it is made from 100% plated frame you can imagine the price topping 50,000 yen. Moreover, the price is quite justified given the size of the kit. The price of a kit is determined by number of runners, not the size of the kit, or gimmicks. On articulation, it is the least concern i have - MGs are supposed to be poseable, while PG displays details by just standing (the size of the kit + dynamic pose takes up space).

Right now I have a six weeks break and I plan to study and do a MG kit but I'm not sure which one I should get... I'm kind of leaning to Unicorn/Exia(normal)/Sinanju/QanT but I can't choose between them? Or should I just get the GFF Full Armour Unicorn? That thing looks really good but I won't be able to build it!

I don't think you can say a model is good or bad just because a reviewer claims it to be. Reviews are just opinions of a person and doesn't reflect everyone else's. People who commented here are simply expressing their views on this model kit.

Actually i've seen the video...it's shows the gimmick of the kit and it's cool, it's just how it's look that's not impressed me much, just doesn't look PGish, but the gimmick and the inner frame are cool...i have a PG Strike, and it is awesome, it has the PGish look or another word "EVOLVE version" ( for those who watch Gundam EVOLVE might know this :-P)
