BRS Phenomenon: overview
The book "Black Rock Shooter BRS: Phenomenon" just arrived to day and I figures I'd show some of its contents to for those who didn't know what it was about.
Basically its similar to an animation artbook, but with a good sized section for the original/promotional illustrations, and profiles of the figures/items so far reviled, plus a premiers a few.
Oh, and the whole book is in Japanese. So you know.
Here is the table of contents, you can see its divided into 5 categories. The illustration gallery and 4 "phases"
Phase 1: physical goods (profiles all of the PVCs, figmas, nendos, etc.)
Phase 2: the animation (detailed screens shots, with commentary, and production materials)
Phase 3: the phenomenon (the forth coming projects like the stop-motion and the RPG. [not too much real information here sadly] )
Phase 4: testimony (interviews with a wide range of the people involved in all of the different projects [in japanese])
you'll forgive me if I don't flatten the pages much. I don't want to brake its spine
Continuity guide... that would be useful... in english.
This is the only page where they talk about the JRPG.
I believe the drawing at the bottom is of the other girls in their class. Just a guess.

Looking forward to even more BRS goods! I really wonder how long this "phenomenon" will really last... I know that my wallet can't last much longer.
I'm looking forward to BRS becoming a brand onto itself (as much as that is possible) all of hte different BRS project seem to be taking different interceptions on the source. that could lead to at lot innovation within a single brand.
Of course i want all of them to be GOOD. I don't want them to just churn out crap because they think they can.

Hmm pretty disappointed actually, for some reason I had an amazing artbook in my mind Visual Works style.
But that's just me, it looks nice in its own regard :P
yeah, the gallery section is only 10 pages, and basically the illustrations are the promotional ones from magazine inserts and DVD covers. But its 93 pages total, and every pages is gorgeous.

Yeah, I don't seem to have the problems with customs you seem to have. Tho usually I get stuff later because I bundle items for shipping purpose.
