Princess Knight Dollfie Dream DD Saber Lily's Arrival セイバー・リリィの到着
Those of you who follow my blog are probably aware I have already acquired Saber Lily Dollfie Dream as my 19th dollfie dream daughter a few days ago. In order to properly celebrate her arrival, I have spent many hours trying to compose a photo set that is proper for her namesake; eventually I have decided to break it up into several blog posts and today is the first of Dollfie Dream DD Saber Lily’s Arrival series~ I hope you would enjoy it~

Before I dive right into the photo shoot, let’s take a moment to inspect this absolutely gorgeous packaging~
How many of you are surprised to see Ecchi Lion taking the first dip on Saber Lily eh?
I am going to go over some of the important components for some of you who are having Saber Lily as your first daughter~
And here is the infamous Saber Lily wig and I have say, the fitting is rather tight. *Warning* Do not pull on the ponytail, it can break off like some of us have already seen photo of a broken up ponytail. I actually struggled quite a bit to put the wig on myself, so if you Lily is your first daughter, be extremely careful with the wig. And here is the petticoat, the fitting is also very very tight and if you force it through the hip joint, you run a high risk of tearing some of the threads. In my opinion, the best way to put the petticoat on is to pull the upper body away and just drop it down before you put the skirt down.

And finally, that all too famous pose with the floating scabbard, must also be recreated here! I opted to use Caliburn instead of Excalibur here because it’s more exquisite this way~

Just looking at the instruction makes me wary about owning one now ^^; Especially with how expensive Lily was. Anyway... She's looking good in front of that Temple :D I still prefer the original Saber though :3
As a package, Saber Lily has the most comprehensive one, superior to that of Saber and Saber alter combined!

Dang, no wonder she's expensive--her stuff is COMPLICATED! Gotta love that attention to detail, but I bet it took eons to put on. The photos you took of her are gorgeous, though, and I think better than Volks' promos.
Lily has the most comprehensive package I have seen to-date, very happy with the result so far. Yup, took me a good hour and half to dress her up complete; of course I was doing it slowly and carefully too :3
Yeah, I was really glad to see they included shoes and gloves for a non-combat version of her outfit, even though I'm not getting her; it gives me hope that Volks may make more comprehensive fullsets like that in the future. But wow, an hour and a half? Yikes. I'm not sure even authentic Victorian recreations would take that long!
Remember I said I struggled with the wig because it's very tight, can't easily reach out to the back of wig and pull it down because of the ponytail getting in the way. Plus I was being extremely careful and what not. Lily has the most comprehensive Dollfie Dream package to-date, like 2X more refined than the original Saber package.

You did a great job with the photos! and of course the last pose, like the one from the figure!
I always wanted to recreate that pose but it's actually quite hard to do and I struggled a long time before I finally got it looking half way decent ^^;

Great photos. Spotted them on Flickr and your blog. Must say it's nice to see not only box content shots but those handy tips & tricks as well as a shot of the Volks user's manual as Saber Lily seems indeed quite challenging to assembler in her default gear.
Thanks~ Instead of rushing my photo set out, might as well do a more comprehensive review on the content since it is rather complicated. The wig and the petticoat would be prone to damage too, so I thought it's best that at least someone make a note of it here.

Indeed it is good, though I would not be wanting to take it on and off too often myself. Lily might end up having to bodies I would just switch head around.
