Yumi shows off her new loot
Amazon shipped the Haruhi movie bluray really quickly. Saturday was the street date in Japan and it got to NYC on Monday!
I first watched the movie at the NYCC/NYAF and Minori Chihara introduced it, talking about how she cried when she watched it.
I had a lot of fun at that screening, watching it with so many fans, even if I did have to sit through Sengoku Basara with questionable dubbing to get the good seat I got. :-p
I like the package that Amazon has with the steel book tho I would like to get the pillowcase from Animate. Maybe I'll be able to find it loose.
I'm also trying out another wig on Yumi. I think it looks really cute on her but good lord its a pain to style curly hair. I really like the hoodie which is from Nightfall. Yumi is such a chameleon.
PS. Almost had a Yandere end as the knife slipped out of her hand and I almost instinctively tried to catch it.

Yumi: This is one of the postcards from the limited edition set.
Yumi: and a mini art book. I really love this illustration.
Yumi: Here's the discs themselves. The case is weird tho. You have to slide it open.
Yumi: The art on the disc is pretty.
Yumi: And this is the screenplay. Now I have something to read while you're out all day.
Me: Gomen ne... =_=;
Me: Let's get a couple shots of your new wig and hoodie.
Yumi: Comon, comon, are these enough? I wanna go watch the movie already.
Me; OK, OK, let's go watch it. Thanks for sharing your loot Yumi.

Love the Haruhi movie and tempted to get the Blu Ray but the lack of english subtitles holds me back as the level of Japanese during some of the monologues is still beyond me to be able to understand it all swiftly enough to make it enjoyable.

Yea, the lack of subtiles is disappointing but I've watched the movie with subtitles enough to remember most of the dialogue and can watch it without subs. The package is nice with the extras tho.
Hey Ken, I was wondering does this limited edition bd includes any film clippings? if it did how many frames did it include? Also how much did you pay for including shipping? Many thanks in advance! ;)
No film clips. :( I was trying to see if any of the packages had them. The Fate Unlimited Blade Works did it best with a hand selected pair of Saber and Rin.
I got it off Amazon and it was $80 + $20 shipping. They even made it Fed ex next day shipping so it got here super quick!
That is a really cool wig she has now! I like the curls! Plus it's made cuter by her wearing the hoodie up. Nice combination....
Thanks! I really like the wig but MAN it is a pain to style! I think I might need some special combs or brushes haha. I gotta say, Nightfall's clothes look great as usual. I might need to commission her to make some custom outfits for me. :D
Heh, I have not had much better esults with curly wigs either. Not sure how to really care for them other than the occasional sink washing and toothbrush brushing.
