1/60 Red Frame Astray Bust
I was planning on replacing the Red Giant's armor entirely with clear parts (aside from the one I got with my original kit, I was able to procure an extra set of clear parts at a VERY reasonable price).
Even with that done, I will still have enough parts for a full head and then some, so, while waiting for the weather to clear, I decided to do a 1/60 Red Frame Astray bust, complete with LED.
Since I don't have parts for an internal frame, and I didn't want to do recasts, I dug out the surplus Strike parts that came with the Astray, and after some assessment was able to discern which parts can be used to scratch build a rudimentary frame.
I also used pla plates and beams as support for the modifications.
Here's a preview of my progress so far (I just started this yesterday). Since my battery is in the fritz, I'll try to shoot the inner parts as I go along.

Using pla plates and beams, I scratch built frames for the next and preshoulder.

I used kotobukiya ball and socket joint and a piece of 8mm Tamiya clear pipe for the neckassembly.

Suggoi!! red LED light makes astray looks good!!
I thought it's supposed to be a 1/60?
My bad, it is 1/60. Thanks for taking note of that...
i think that's 1/60..^^
I'm not into clear frame edition, but its nice to see someone willing to remodel their Gundam with parts for mods.

Oh, I'll be painting this one, though, it looks cool as it is...
cant wait for the finished product =)
your plan is to make HUGE LED powered lamp with PG astray as its frame?
neat idea
anyway... how much is your VERY reasonable prize
I got the extra clear parts SANS the sword and stand at PhP600. The complete set goes for around PhP2K-3K locally. It's not really going to be a lamp, though that's possible if I add more LEDs.
