Winter Comiket (C77)?
Noticed quite a few people on here went to Summer Comiket in August. Anyways, thinking of making the pilgrimage to the winter one this year, and was wondering if anyone else was going? Also just a few questions for the veterans:
Coming from overseas, where's the best place to stay? I'm probably not going to be taking the first train to Ariake since not *that* big on super-limited-edition stuff from the big circles, but I'm still a bit hung up on the best place to accommodate. On that note, how early would be good to start lining up? Still on preliminary planning for the trip but any input on the hotel thing would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

well you could line up as early as 5pm the day before :3
Just wondering, at what time would one get in if one lined up 5pm on the day before?

I'll be going to Winter Comiket this year. It will be my first time to Comiket ^^ I don't know at what time I'm going, but I think I'll try to arrive at 11h (not going to wait from the day before), but I hear it's still quite possible to get in if you go just before noon?
It's my 5th trip to Japan though, and i usually stay at Oak Hotel in Ueno. Another option is Sakura Hostel in Jimbocho.
You can stay anywhere in Tokyo. The train system will get you to Tokyo Big Sight no matter what.
ummm, even if you are not into limited stuff, you should still go early... The line is part of the experience...
Going to Tokyo from around 26 Dec to 4 Jan... Gonna go there with my family to observe their New Year, so if I have the chance I may go to Comiket... Hope to see you fellow dc-ers around.
