Reindeer Games
Christmas time means sending out the family photos, and this year, that includes Agatha.

Agatha: "Do I have to do this?"
YES. I spent from October till the day before yesterday working on that outfit, so you're wearing it and showing it off, damnit!

Omigod, Agatha! There's something behind you!
Agatha: "What?! What IS that?"

Holy crap, it's a reindeer! In the desert, no less. Guess they're adapting to global warming.

"Hey, come back here! I haven't finished analyzing you yet!"

"Oof! Hey! Fast little bugger."

"Wait UP! I'm not going to hurt you. . . much. Stupid ungulate."

*huff* "Ugh, this isn't working. Give me a minute."

"Least you had the sense to make this thing a LITTLE utilitarian."

"Hah! Bring it ON, ungulate!"

"Got you now!"

*Hop*

*HONK*

"Whoa!"

*ka-lunk ka-lunk ka-lunk*

"What the hee--"

"---eeeeeellllll!"

"Ooof!"

"Wha--hello!"

"Do you forgive me?"

"Heh, alright. And I guess I forgive you."

Merry . . um, you know what? We're going to cover ALL our bases.
Merry Christma-Hanu-Kwanza-December-Solsti-Ween!

Up up and away!
as soon as I saw this picture I almost fell off my chair laughing
so funny!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome! And Agatha's new friend really DOES look like a Reindeer. Not like a mule deer or another more common deer. When I was a really little kid Panorama City real estate developer Fritz Burns would have a group of 10 "reindeer" visit along with a Santa's Helper. They were actually just garden-variety deer. It was actually kinda cruel, especially because "Violet" had tattooed purple ears, and "Rudolph" would have red greasepaint constantly smeared on his black nose. And the wagons the "Reindeer" were lodged in had these small little cells for each of them. It would not pass muster today, but this was the mid-'60s and people weren't as aware of animal safety.
From "AmericasSuburb.com"
Reindeer of Panorama City
Panorama City's flagship shopping center became known after 1950 for the reindeer that were put on display each Christmas, including a youngster designated as "Rudolph." For many families, it became an annual ritual to wait in long lines to see reindeer and put the kiddies on Santa's lap. The reindeer came from the herd of Fritz B. Burns, the developer of Panorama City. He began his herd with 26 deer from Hearst Castle in San Simeon, Calif. but by 1967 he had 478 head, the largest private herd in the U.S. The deer also appeared at other Burns developments around Los Angeles.
Aha! Found out what kind of deer the Panorama City deer were...Fallow Deer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallow_Deer
Yeah, that reindeer plush is really nice; my grandmother has it and two others, that she found at Ace Hardware of all places. Unfortunately, she cut off the tags, so I can't figure out what company made them. >.<;
Wow, that really is sad. That definitely wouldn't fly today, no pun intended. A little surprising that they didn't use real reindeer, though, since reindeer are apparently the only deer species to come even close to true domestication.
Not quite true. The Shika deer, the Japanese deer famous for being dwellers in deer parks, are pretty much domesticated. And somehow or another the fallow deer that Fritz Burns owned were quite tame. Maybe he put Miltown in the water he gave them, or something. I have also seen fallow deer at petting zoos. Maybe they descended from Mr. Burns' herd. Oh wow, just got a weird Simpsons flashback.
Heh, "Reindeer Games"! Very cute!!!... Have an awesome Christmas, you two, And I hope a mimmoth doesn't leave anything nasty in your stockings!!
Heh, thanks! Merry Christmas to you, too, and if we happen to find a mimmoth, the dogs will probably eat it. XD
That was great! Merry Christmas!<3
Thanks! Merry Christmas, Fugu. :)
Such a cute reindeer!
Hmmm... looks kinda warm over there. *looks outside, two feet of snow and 10F/-12C* Wanna send some of that warmth over here? XD
Merry Christmas!
That reindeer is my grandmother's, so I'll let her know his cuteness is appreciated. :) And no, I need my warmth, you can't have it! XD Merry Christmas!
love Agatha's outfit! Merry Christmas!
Thanks! I need to take in the waist on the skirt, but for the most part I'm pretty happy with it. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and Agatha!
Merry Christmas to you and your crew, too!
Ha! Great accents!
EPIC crash! XD
Such a lovely girl....
Thank you! Merry Christmas, Balldylox. :)
That's awesome! Poor Agatha though. Great outfit. She looks so festive, especially with her friend.
Thanks! And Agatha's fine; she's both obstinate and tougher than she looks. :) Extra thanks for the outfit compliments!
She's based on a character in the webcomic Girl Genius...actually the central character. She's made of very stern stuff.

. . .Wait, does this mean you've read some of the comic now? >:D Agatha shall take over the WOOOOOOORLD!
I think she is a very good likeness. She has such expressive eyes.
The link also sent me off on a tangent looking at quark-themed perfume. I love that they offer a free gluon with an order three quarks. The "Kuiper Belt Objects Unite In Vengeance" fragrance is also hilarious.
Thanks! :D I'm pretty happy with the way her faceup turned out, though I'm sure in the future I'll do a version 2.0.
Ah, ZOMG Smells! I've fallen in love with that place; my mom actually got me two scents and five squees as a Christmas present. ^_^ I thought about asking for the Kuiper Belt Objects one, but decided that it sounded to amaretto or musty for me. Got Scooter amongst my squees though, and got a nice big bottle of Wrestling Tigers, my fave scent so far. My mom, however, favors Brownian Motion and Camping in a Vanilla Forest.
funny
Sweet! Merry Christmas!^^
Merry Christmas to you too. :)
Poor fella gets called, "bugger," gets chased, gets ridden, falls, and has to endure the forgiveness by his tormentor. Desert reindeer seem pretty understanding, unlike their more nippy arctic cousins. But I guess the desert breeds are used to adopting to their environemnt. :p
Haha! I hadn't looked at it that way. XD Well, I suppose they *have* to be of a more even temperament; otherwise, no one would let them into air-conditioned houses during the hottest parts of summer!
Wow! Beautiful pictures <333
I worry about Agatha , hope she will be fine after that accident XD
Wish you and family have a happy holiday \(=^o^=)/
Thanks! I love taking pictures of Agatha; it's so much fun!
She's totally fine. If you take a look at the comic I based her on (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php), you'll see she's definitely had worse. =P
Thanks! You have happy miscellaneous winter holidays too. :)
