Shining Gundam

Posted by reese_hayden

I bought this back more than 10 years ago, the actual manual has a date of 1994. This is the first gundam model that I had and back then I just build them straight right out of the box using a nail clipper and use the stickers and all. No panel lining, no paint or gundam markers and no detailing at all.

So I decided to add some details on it just to give it a new life so to speak.^^,

Its a No Grade 1/144 Shining Gundam (Looking at gunpla now bandai calls them first grades).

Comments are welcome.

Cheers!

    LOL. I remember this gundam. I have one as well. Bought way back in the 90s when this show first aired on Toonami. I think your work on shining gundam is wonderful. As I did exactly what u did as well. just stuck stickers onto the model. :D

      Thanks! But actually the pics above is already the updated one, took the stickers out of the shoulders, left the eyes and the sticker for king of hearts and everything is markers.^^,

    Uhh... 144/1 would mean that Shining Gundam would be 144 times the original height (16.2 meters)... ^^;

      You call 1994 gunpla antiques, you young whippersnapper?!? I remember back when Gunpla were all molded in just one color, you had to cement them, and they looked NOTHING like the box covers, Boya!!!

        hey, my 1/100 V2 is even older. old kits just require time, patience, and alot of paint. after that they look awesome.

    You say no paint, no color? I remember that they are in one color runner only and you have to color them. By the way a nice recolored gunpla there.
