Radiant Photoshop: Xmas Snow Miku 1:8 GSC?!
Sat 2010/12/25 14:33 JST

Almost every year, I take an existing figure, and turn it into a Christmas themed version using Photoshop. This year is no different.
I really wanted a 1:8 scale Snow Miku, but since that's probably never going to happen, I decided to make my own!
A youtube video of it being made:
Merry Christmas everyone!

Nice work!
Wish this one really exists... X3
Yeah, I'd buy it. Damn would I buy it. Working on this made me want one even more. lol.
Nice! if there was a snow miku figma that would be so awesosme!!
Beautiful work!
Although I don't even understand half of what you did. ^ ^;
Thanks!
All of it was doing masks with color adjustments. The masking takes a long time, since I'm painting the masks in.
Wow, great work! Especially love the snowflakes. I'd totally buy it too lol.
Happy Holidays, RadiantDreamer~!
Thanks Sakyosa!
BTW, I sent you a friend request on youtube. :)
Added.
Thanks for telling me because I never check my messages on that thing. ^^;
You and me both! :D
That's awesome. Love the snow Miku. Would love to see the real thing come out. Anyway, after watching your video, it just making me want to start using the photoshop to play around with my photo. Thanks for the posting. Happy Holiday RadiantDreamer~ :)
Glad I'm inspiring you! :)
If a nice Snow Miku came out from GSC, I think I'd be all over it. ^^;
Happy Holidays!
Woah! As always an excellent job, your skills are awesome too. Congratulations! ^^)b
thanks P!
Happy Holidays!
That is awesome! So, you made several layers and added a mask over it? :D
Seeing new things, learning new things or two. XD
Yeah. It's an "alternative" way instead of using adjustment layers. Some filters simply aren't available as adjustment layers. ^^
I never ever tried adjustment layers before. D:
I would normally cutout parts instead >_>
I should really use Masking more often lol
Adjustment layers and masks are SO useful. It's non-destructive, meaning you can simply delete the adjustment layer, or delete the mask, and your original image remains intact.
You can also use masks to "un-erase" parts of your image, so to speak.
Omg that's a really awesome photo! It must have took ages to make >.> I could never do something like that! :D
Thanks! It took about 54 minutes to do.
Happy Holidays!
sorry for asking..but can i ask what song did you use for the background music of your tutorial video..thanks..
