Saving money buying figures

Since my last loot post, I had a couple folks ask me how Bing cashback worked for eBay. I finally got around to putting some instructions up on my blog and wanted to share it with all my comrades here!
Basically, Microsoft is offering incentives to use the Bing search engine for your shopping needs in the form of a rebate for various online retailers. eBay is currently sitting at 8% back on Buy It Now items that are paid for via PayPal, though that amount goes up and down over the course of the year.
Last November, cashback from eBay was at 35% of the purchase price, you can just imagine how much stuff I bought then...
Unfortunately, the cashback program is only available for people who have a US mailing address (non-PO box). It also says you need to live in the US, though I'm not sure how that could be verified...

Whats your default browser?
Many of us on the Windows Live team used Firefox+Google ^^;
(at work)
At work I use IE8 since AD authentication seamlessly passes to the browser (doesn't play nicely with Firefox). At home, I typically use Firefox, though for the purpose of this article I thought it appropriate to use IE for the screencaps. ^.^;;
...that and a lot of our internal tools are built to run on IE, though there's always the question of whether or not they'll run on 8. Compatability view, FTW!
I remember when we upgraded to Vista at work - many MS internal tools just broke ^^;
Most of ours still worked, though we did have some web page issues. They were largely chalked up to lazy web design, since the version checker was hard coded for IE6/WindowsXP...
Oh, I sent you a mail last week about coming to Japan, did you get a chance to see it? :)
"Unfortunately, the cashback program is only available for people who have a US mailing address (non-PO box). Sad that these kinds of offers usually are US-only stuff D: just like awesome exclusive figures are Japan-only stuff "OTL
Me, I'm waiting for Canadian-only stuff. >_> Seems a long time coming...
A nice idea, but I hate Bing and IE. I also don't live in the US :P
This seemed interesting, so I looked into it, and on the ebay terms of service it said that it was good for a maximum of 20 purchases per ebay account. It didn't specify if this ever reset, so I was wondering if you have ever encountered any problems with this or something.
It should be per year, at least that's what I remember seeing, so save cashback for those big purchases!
Heard about the huge cashbacks last year, ordering DSLR stuff could save you hundreds of $
man sometimes I wish I lived in the US...
Will sign up and try it out. Hope the percentages will raise but it seems unlikely.
It fluctuates, last year around the holiday season it kicked up as high as 35% and hovered around 20% for a good few weeks. Maybe the same thing will happen this year...
That's nice. But I usually use SAL as my shipping (cause I am cheap...) and SAL is probably very slow during the holidays. ^ ^;
With the current 8%, I can only save a few bucks but it's better than nothing after all. ^ ^;
