Saw 9 today.

Awesome. The animation, plot, action, everything was so good.

For those of you that live in America, go and see it. It's number 2 in the boxoffice right now for nothing.

9's offical trailer in HD.

    Finally! Someone posted the movie 9! I treated my siblings to watch that movie at exactly 09-09-09! After I watched the movie I thought at first "dang it was corny in the plotline because some of them died" but eventually I realized "hey! that ain't like a kiddy diddy show!" Yes the animation, the story, plot and every single sack-punks makes me shudder to it's greatness! My favorite character at 9 was character 6. His design grabs me. His attitude unique and artistic. My favorite beast was the first one. 9 is the best once in a century movie!

    Yep i saw it too and it was a masterpiece! loved the dark nature of it and the storyline. Animation was extremely good and had be engrossed throughout...with exception to the mother that was talking throughout the movie..

    I was fairly disappointed actually. The animation was sweet, and as a potential sound editor I found the sound work absolutely amazing. A lot of the people in the (packed) theatre actually jumped.

    [MAJOR SPOILERS]
    But I find 9 as a protagonist rather lacking. The huge threat they had to counter was his fault to start with. Even if you get past that, the ending made little sense. Why would bits of soul combine together to make rain? And what do they do now that "the world belongs to them"? It would have made much more sense to have all of them voluntarily absorbed into the machine - thus completing the soul and restoring the Machine as the professor intended it to be, an instrument of progress.

    9 was definitely worth watching, but it had some glaring flaws.

      I think the ending was based on a theory that life started from bacteria. another thing is maybe everything would start over again. If you saw the droplets of rain in the camera during the ending, there were little glowing cell-like peices of the soul. then again I agree with you. What are they gonna do after eliminating the machine?

        That's an interesting interpretation...which does make things make sense. Still don't get how bits of soul = rain with bacteria though. ^^;

          yeah...I don't get it too now you mention it...but maybe it's some wild-card that the director had in mind.

      Yeah, I noticed those flaws too. The first time around didn't look so bad, but second time around (Yeah, somehow I watched it twice...) those thoughts that you had came to my mind too. A lot of plot holes for sure. The action scenes were great though. I was pumped!

      *wince* I apologize. I hate spoilers myself, so I tried to add a warning to my comment. Usually try to avoid it altogether, but in this case there was no way I could describe my impression of the film without it.
