A Little Experiment - Kowai or Kawaii?
J'rykhai Face Experiment
This is the product of little photo-morphing experiment connected to a long-running project of mine. I'll forgo the details — unless anyone wants to delve into a concept that has literally produced thousands of pages of notes and analysis.
The owner of this face is small and inhuman, so the facial proportions should be taken as more-or-less real world accurate.
This image is based upon a frame from a face morph (around frame 45-50, near the 2 second mark):
I will admit I attempted to inject certain doll-like visual elements into the facial form, as well as some feline touches (as suits the concept).
Just looking for feedback:
Kowai or kawaii?
Moe or morbid?
Animate or anime?
(Sorta raising the issue of how "real" doll faces seem, too) (–_^)

looks like the face will bite you at any moment
WEll, that's more a result of the facial expression it's stuck with. (-_^)
But it is intended to ride that uncomfortable line between humanly familiar and elfin uncanny.

It does not help that it is an isolated face — even a normal human one tends to look a bit stranger that way.
It would be less so in context — but the only image i have like that is not quite safe for this venue. (^ω^)

It is the eyes that get you, isn't it.... It is always the eyes.... (O_O)
