Disappearance Haruhi and Other Stories

Posted by Chris Walden [www]

Poor postman. I was woken up early by a little Chinese man holding a special delivery parcel for my brother. Well that and he was soaked, as we currently have the dire British weather back. A few hours later it seems like they made him do the regular run too, where he handed me a wet box with 'many apologies'. He's awesome, I wish the rest of the posties weren't grumpy old gits :)

Unless you skipped the title, you'll know who was in the box :3

Disappearance Haruhi! I am super glad that they decided to do another full-size nendoroid of her, as I cant say I'm a fan of the original. It was early nendoroid days I suppose, so I'll let them off :3

This is her 'out-of-the-box' pose. She must be a little grumpy because she hasn't got Kyon around. Obviously.

With a simple swap of her arms, she becomes prosecutor Haruhi! A briefcase full of what I don't doubt are important documents, with a real Edgeworth 'screw you' look about her.

What? Haruhi doesn't go to school you joker. She's god!

Haruhi's 'up-to-no-good' face! Not in shot: the Mikuru she just pushed over.

"Who's awesome? You're awesome."

"Look who I found!"

Haruhi also comes with a head with her short hair plus the SOS armband, so you can steal Yuki's clothes to have the typical Haruhi should you wish.

...but that would be boring. How good does she look in Yuki's coat? Kinda makes me want to buy a couple of them and have a set of SOS brigade members in coats :) Unfortunately I won't, I'm a bit poor.

It took her a full month to get here too, courtesy of the Great British postal nightmare that is Christmas. Still to arrive: Hayate, Dead Master and the BRS blu-ray. Someday!

Looks like 2011 is a good year for nendoroids too. Got to start saving my pennies for the Panty and Stocking, Amagami and Bakuman nendoroids. Plus the obligatory Touhou nendoroids too. Cirno for 9th! Make it happen!

    I haven't seen Disappearance, but she's so cute! I'm not the biggest fan of Haruhi herself, but this is a great Nendoroid. I'm glad that I'm not the only person having trouble with the post, though. My BRS petites have been stuck in Tokyo since before Christmas, and my friend has already gotten hers ;3;

Damn, in the US too? Well I suppose it's nice to know packages aren't lost, rather delayed instead xD I figure I should gather some otaku on the shores and shout "hurry up" to any passing ships!

I'm still waiting for my Dissapearance DVD to arrive, damn British Post. The last time it was tracked was 20th of December and it was still in Japan, so no idea where it is. Going to give it until the end of this week and phone Parcelforce since Amiami said leave it three weeks with SAL. :X

hehe. I wish they would redo the YuKi Figma. The new Nendos came out looking so much better than the early Haruhi Figmas and Nendos.

Otacute shipped my long haired Haruhi Figma last night, more than a week since they asked me to pay for it. XD

Congrats! She's great. Somehow mine managed to come before new years (SAL) so I guess I was lucky. I'm waiting on the figma of her now :)

Ah yeas, I ordered her too and she arrived a few days. She is absolutely adorable! Though the way she arrived was a bit of a mess, I had to deal with customs for some reason but at least the whole process was not that long. We have some rather "thorough" officials here in Estonia. Though she was totally worth it :)

That sucks! I suppose it's lucky that customs over here seem more interested in software and electronics, though they have charged me for figures before :(

Wow, that is a nice postman. The service here isn't too bad even though they seem to deliver a lot to my house, but they still deliver with a smile and courtesy ^_^

I passed on the Nendo. I seem to be growing out of it, but my Kouyou Haruhi has been shipped!

Theres usually several parcels a week going to my house at university xD I have a feeling the postman is a bit sick of it, but he does hang around longer than most as he knows he's probably waking me up :D
