MG Exia Repair Ver. Z

Posted by zyuan [www]

Hi everyone!

Here's my completed MG Exia. 'tis my first time using weathering pestels. Just calling mine the "Ver. Z" to differentiate the title from the foray of other MG Exia models on this site xD. Any comments are welcomed! ^^

    Nice effect!! How big and how much are the weathering pastels and will they work on glossy surfaces?

      I'm assuming they would work on a glossy surface, but maybe you would need something to seal it in? Because it is like a powder type substance, like makeup.

      they are the Tamiya weathering set (just look it up and you can see how they look like) and cost about four bucks i think. It probably won't stick too well on glossy surfaces since they're smooth and the stuff is kinda like powder.

    Very nice, there sure is a noticable different between just out of box and weathered. I use a weather kit which looks like a makeup kit >> With the little sponge thing with a a brush on the end, is that different to the pastel?
    Weathering really gives the repair version some character.

      that's the same one I'm using. It looks like a make-up kit. I'm also using Mr. Hobby's weathering pastel which is straight up powder in a paint bottle. A lot messier to work with.

      If you remember, the "RRESTART" section just had a black screen that said "tsuzuku" (To be continued)... I thought people might've figured it out that something will go there eventually ^^;

    why your blog doesn't have the complete review for this repair version? seems like your first serious attempt of weathering?? nice one.
