Saber Lily
I won't post any unboxing photos or narrative, as it's been done before - and I think everyone has gotten the idea by now lol
Getting Lily ready in her outfit was quite an.. adventure in itself. She is considerably complex in her full armour.
Not only that, but this happened:
Yup - her ponytail came completely off. It slid right off the back of her hair, without hardly any input from myself. I think the only thing holding it together in transit was the hair-net.
After posting photos / discussing on Twitter, ideas on how to fix it came forward, but I eventually sent an email to Volks explaining my issue.
To my surprise I received an email back the following morning (GMT, within 24 hours) - Volks had acknowledge my issue, apologised for the inconvenience AND shipped me out a brand new wig that very same hour! If that's not fantastic customer service then I don't know what is!
So I'm happily awaiting the arrival of the new wig, which should be en-route now, ready to then ship the old one back to Volks.
As for now though, I decided to leap ahead in my plans for Lily and give her the black hair I had been thinking of before:

Oh, no - now she's back being serious XD
The ruffle on her arm should be rotated 180º - but I believe this was taken somewhere near midnight so I'll let myself off -.-
I think she looks pretty awesome and gorgeous with black hair!
Taken today, I readjusted her pose, tightening up loose armour and sorting out that ruffle from before. Also added a 'come get it' Matrix style hand gesture XD

Well I hope you enjoyed the brief and small amount of photos ^^;
I aim to do more over the weekend, perhaps in her armour - or just in casual gear introducing her to the other girls. We shall see.

She looks nice in a dark wig^^ It's a shame her original wig fell apart.... Anything that costs that much shouldn't fall apart^^;;;;

I actually had about the same problem. The pony tail falls off as soon as I put it wig on the head. Volks is shipping me an replacement as well. I've sent my photos and told them of the problem on the 5th. So yeah they have informed me that they are shipping out an replacement today. So yeah you are not the only one.

Yeah good to see that you've got Saber Lily as well. Although we both have to wait just a bit longer for the working wig.
BTW, did Volks ask you to send back the wig so that they can take a look at it? They asked me to send back the wig so they can study why it failed. But I actually "fixed" it after I tied the hair back together, hot glued it together to form a stub and then just push the pony tail back onto the new stub that I created with hot glue. Now I have to tell them that I don't have that wig in the original failed state for them to look at any more. Either way I really want them to stop just tie a pony tail onto a short stub without any real method of securing it. The way that pony tail is made is really stupid and I'd say very easy to break even if vibration during shipping is out of the question.
Yeah - still at least they're on their way.
I have to send the original one back yeah - I'll be sending it back in the same box the new one came in. The hot glue method sounds pretty good; it wouldn't actually be too much effort on Volks part to incorporate something more secure than that, or at least it shouldn't be too hard.

Oh man it must have been a horrifying moment! It's cool that Volks sent you the replacement right away without asking you to send the broken one back (they usually do that which can be a bit of a hassle)
It was a bit of a silent "......Oh bugger" moment XD
Yeah I'm shipping the old one back when I get the new one, which has left Japan and should be with me next week ^^

Yup, dressing up Saber Lily is quite a challange XD Not to mention putting the wig on - it's fragile as heck and nearly impossible to put on her head due to the tight fit.
I don't understand why Volks make these pony-tail wigs in two parts!? Remember seeing another post here a while back about someone having the exact same problem with a Sakuno Uryu wig.
Yeah - the quality of the hair doesn't impress me at all either, other companies do a much better job :/
Who knows why they decided to do it this way lol Maybe due to the quantity of Lily (which does seem like a lot) it was a cost or time cutting thing. Yeah it happened to a Sakuno too but I can't remember the details >.<

Yeah - it's just a shame I can't keep the bow from the original, it makes quite a good accessory on it's own lol
