The world of Japanese food

So, Drossel and I were snacking and we got to thinking... Do you have Japanese snacks where you are?
Where I live in England, there are quite a few little shops and places where you can get food and drink imported direct from Japan. My girfriend and I regularly buy Japanese food and drink from the Japanese supermarket we frequent (Japan Centre) aswell as at conventions too, of course.
Another question though; do you have any Japanese food and drink that are rebranded and not just imported to your part of the world?
For example, here in the UK (and I believe in some other parts of Europe too) we have our brand of Pocky called Mikado, which is by the same company; Glico. It tastes a little different from Japanese Pocky but it's still nice (although I think you can only get it in milk chocolate flavour...)
They seem to be pushing it quite hard here, with commercials being all over TV many times a day, aswell as adverts in magazines for a long time now.
We also have some other little things like Calpis, known as Calpico, which I think they have available in many other parts of the world too.

There's only Chinese supermarkets that stock imported foods near where I live. The next best place to buy food and drink imported from other countries is Manchester, which is an hour by train :(
POCKY! Love them!
Being the Otaku Lord of East london I found there was a WASABI takeaway just down the road from me so it's nice to go there on my way back from central and grab food there.
I don't like Mikado, the chocolate tastes cheap and nasty to me and the biscuit isn't as tasty. Theres a shop in town that sells a lot of Japanese/Chinese food and I like the Hi Chew sweets you get, they're soooooooooooo juicy and yummy. Also, they had these cute biscuits filled with chocolate and they had anime type characters on them, yummy.
The chocolate they use in Japan is very different to British chocolate, but I still like it very much.
Don't remember...
I guess there's Midori chips back then, but I didn't see them anymore...
Well, I'd like to go to the sushi house, anyway :D
pocky is the most common one lol
theres a thai version of pocky as well.
It's called Pocky here. Got a box in the kitchen that I picked up on Sat.
Yeah , Living in Malaysia does have its advantages .
Japanese Products are very easy to find especially Candy .
Yu can see it at my post : http://www.figure.fm/post/en/1711/Japanese+Products.html
It's called Rocky here because for some reason the word Pocky has been flagged as obscene by local government... ^^;
There are a couple of Korean/Thai/chinese stores that sell similar snacks and food, but I haven't found any Japan only stores...plus it is slightly expensive.....
For hideously expensive prices, yes. x_x" Price of shipping it across the Pacific, I suppose.
I sometimes buy Pocky at Walmart, though it's usually melted together.
I can also buy Ramune and many different types of Pocky at my local anime store.
I know there's an Asian Food Market somewhere near me, but I've yet to visit it.
Looks like Pocky. (^_^) So far the only place I have found Japanese snacks are at books stores surprisingly. Back in Oklahoma I found an Asian market that had a lot, but since the move I haven't found any here yet. =[
for UK people, have a look in Tescos for Mikado, they do White,Dark and Milk chocolate versions, they also stock Asahi beer but Lidl's is cheaper.
[pedantic] and Mikado is not technically Japanese, as its not under licence, its acompletly different product
