It's a shame that they are going to tear it down soon. Good thing we have things like your photos to always remember it by.

Yeah, it is sad. The surrounding is very nice and I have enjoyed a nice afternoon while I am tired from shooting.

Wow...I don't that is a good or bad. You can see all the trains (although SG doesn't have much special trains except the super expensive Eastern & Oriental Express). But if too close the noise can be quite distributing sometimes.

only in name. These days, virtually nobody boards the train at Bukit Timah unlike half a century ago, despite immigration procedures being shifted to the Singapore/Malaysia border in a act of common sense (we used to do the immigration procedures at Tanjong Pagar station, deep in the heart of Singapore. Crazy eh?)

It'll be sad to see these train tracks stop rumbling soon. I must visit again one last time, I owe the station master a teh tarik.

The station master was very friendly. Although I heard some people have been turn down when they want to do some shots. In fact they are very helpful answering some of my questions around the station also.

the place you're marking on this track, btw, is just one of the old-style railway bridges the KTM goes through in the Bukit Timah area. There was a rail station here a long time ago, but these days, the only thing left of it is the rail mall - and it's pretty much a regular 1-floor shopping mall for the locals who live nearby whenever they want groceries or casual dining.

The station is no longer for passengers boarding. But serve as a crossing for two trains and exchange of key tokens.
