Loots Arrive - BRS & Dead Master
They are supposed to arrive earlier, but they were sent to the wrong address, thats why. =.= They were sent to my parents' address instead of my campus, so, imagine their shock for receiving such a large parcel, and the number of questions they asked me. Anyway, i got both for the regular 9300 yen. I don't really mind the offers given by Japanese sites since i want to avoid international shipping, considering how many people received broken BRS. Mine is safe. Local express courier is better.
Here are pics taken on my phone. Ironically i forgot to stick on the star sticker before taking photos. BRS figure came with a letter from GSC containing a letter (i suppose an apology letter? I cant read Japanese yet), 2 postcards and a seal containing 6 star stickers.
I will post a review in my blog soon, within a week. I want to drag the timing a bit, i.e. a post every 3-4 days. Assembly of BRS is a pain in the @$$, many securing pegs, and finding the holes to plug in the chains on the base too. >.<
Dead Master is easy to assemble, the finger holding the skull is also easy to plug in (some complained it is impossible). Only that the legs are slightly too wide for the pegs but applying some force works fine. DM is one of the best figures by Good Smile, except it has one big ugly seamline on the dress, which can be hidden by proper lighting direction and dark photography.

I like how she wears clam diggers
but I have not seen the video yet
I love this black blade ver, but now i find it hard to display with the other 1/8 scale BS figures as her base and style is different:(
Love your collection.
wow O.O
It was a surprise to me. The base is actually hollow ABS plastic like the black blade version. I thought it is he heavy PVC bulk like original version. At least now i know all Animation version figures will have plastic base. the good thing is that, structurally, they are more solid than PVC.
well i reacon it would be better solid lol
Can anyone tell me if this happens in every DM figures? It's not that bad when you are looking from far, but it is an eyesore when you look it from near. =.=;
for the price they ask this shouldn´t happen, seamlines in a 9,000 yen figure is a joke.
I am wondering whether it happens to most DM figures, or just mine. =.=; It would be the best 1/8 scale i own if that seam did not exist.
Your loot is a terrific powerful one. Both figures are great and very well made, congratulations! ^^)b
Thank you for the terrific pictures! I got to learn a lot more about the BRS & DM pvc's and I think I'm going to save up for one now! :)
They're on sale @ Hobby Search right now. The shipping and the yen rate will pry jack up the final price close to original however (ordering the Animation Version + EMS hurt my bank account pretty well. :S )
Wow, that's one hell of a seam line on that copy. I like how you posed them all together. :)
It was quite a bummer, if that seam did not exist, it would be the best 1/8 scale figure i have now (even better than BRS). 1/7 goes to Saber Lily DA.
Great figures and nice pictures! Now I wished I had bought Dead Master, too.
